Top 4?

using the ladder predictor i came up with this

1.Storm (44 pts)
2.Manly (38 pts)
3.Brisbane (36 pts)
4.Cowboys (36 pts)
5.Chokers (35 pts)
6.Tigers (34 pts)
7.Warriors (32 pts)
8.Knights (30 pts)

Its a very favourable finals series if it works out like this because i see us and the warriors winning, sending the chokers out in week one and avoiding the storm until hopefully the grand final. I know theres alot of ifs and buts but when you follow the tigers anythings possible. By the way im afraid of no onee anymore and would be confident of beating melbourne in melbourne in week one of the finals if it worked out that way. As Phil Gould so elequoently said THANK GOD THE TIGERS ARE IN THE FINALS!!!!

Dare we think it?

4 games to go and 4 games we should win, comfortably imo.

34pts… 8 on the trot... Surely enough to sneak into 4th?

yep. considering the current top 4 play each other along the way which will mean guaranteed games being dropped by the frontrunners. Dragons alone have Manly and the Storm.

We've just set a benchmark with this last two weeks beating two of the competition front runners, we can now simply not afford to undo this great work against our following four opponents. Lets be realistic, we SHOULD not drop a game to either the Panthers, Eels, Titans or Sharks if you consider the last two weeks.

I think we are a very realistic chance of finishing 5th.. Our draw is extremely favorable and the dragons have a tuff draw with their current form.. I work out if we win remaining games, and dragons drop 2 of theirs, we will get to 5th which will be an awesome result considering where we were at 3 weeks ago.. Go the tigers

3 weeks ago I said 4th spot was in play and that results in the next two weeks would be crucial. the doggies did us all a favour last night. hopefully the warriors can do the broncos tonight.
next week it's cowboys v broncos.
6-7 weeks out was too far to be calling the top 4 like everyone seemed to believe was set in stone.

I see it like this. My gut feel is that we will drop one or two games we should win in our run into the finals. Probably starting with Penrith next week. I don't care where we finish as long as it's not 8th as playing in Melb is a death sentence. I really like Nth Qld but I don't really want to be playing them up in Townsville either.

With the way we are playing at the moment we can trouble any side if we play the semi in Sydney.

Yeah good post shane.
We are 4/4….I cant see any team winning 12 straight, which is what we ultimatley need to do to get the bikkies
I wont mind a loss here or there before the semis just to keep the boys on track...as long as we keep playing well.

I did the ladder predictor too - go a slightly different answer which I didn't expect as I just focused on game by game but the Warriors go up and Dragons who have a really hard draw go down

1\. Storm - 46
2\. Manly - 40
3.Warriors - 36
4- Cowboys - 36
5- Broncos -34
6- Wests Tigers- 34
7\. Dragons - 33
8- Knights - 30

9.Raiders -24
10\. Bulldogs-23
11\. Sharks- 23
12\. Rabbitohos - 22
13\. Penrith -20
14\. Eels - 17
15 - Roosters - 16
16- Titans - 14

Hope you are wrong the thought of playing the warriors in NZ in a semi is scary

I agree, better to have a bad game before the semis, to iron out any problems.
if wests-tigers think they are gonna automatically going to run onto the field, kick off, complete a set of six and be handed a win, then they will end up  on wrong side of scoreline.

No Lawrence for a few weeks will make a big difference to the team. We have gone from no penetration back to a lethal left edge with him back in the team. Even against lesser teams I think we will struggle again without his power house running

Penrith will be tough without Lawrence and Utai, and despite the Panthers and Eels remaining outside the top 8, overall the Tigers have terrible records against both sides and were towelled recently against the Eels, so I think the top 4 might be just beyond the Tigers reach but I think 5th or 6th is achievable.

Not sold on the Warriors yet, they have had a great season after a poor start and they have won 4 straight but seriously, Raiders (H), Rabbits (A), Bulldogs (H) and Titans (H), before these 4 wins they had 4 straight losses to the Storm, Cowboys, Tigers and Roosters, oddly enough for a side that has been talked up a lot recently they surprisingly have only recorded 2 wins against a current top 8 side (Storm in round 7 and the Knights in round 10).

They have Brisbane (A), Knights (H), Panthers (A), Dragons (A) and Cowboys (H) to come, that’s 4 top 8 sides so the next 5 weeks should give me a better idea of where they really stand.
