TOP 8 Next Year

Our Tigers are a tough team to predict. On our day we can and should beat almost anyone. 2010 is building better than the last few years thats for sure.

Who would have guesed we would lose 4 or so games by 2 points or less in 2009.

Mutts
Souths
Broncos
Melb

Heres not forgetting the brain snaps agains panthers, cows and GC where were in it until the last quarter.

For me it all depends on the "Rocks to Diamonds" comments and subsiquent actions by Coach Sheens…..

I will take 5th or 6th....

If we can get some consistency in 2010 I think we are definately a top 8 side but we've definately gotta win the close ones.

The salary cap is pulling this comp together, every year it gets tougher and tougher. On paper I think top five is a near certainty, but anything can happen, injuries and just plain bad luck play such a big part. I think their will be some teams from this years eight go backwards, Manly,Dragons and the coast and their will be teams like Souths and the Tigers who should be the big movers. Anyway the season cant come quick enough for me

Injuries tend to go around in cycles. The sharks had a retched run this year, as did we towards the back end of the rep season with lawrence, galloway, tuiaki, gallant all proving pretty hard to replace. Clubs identify that depth is required and they cover it for the next season. E.g. lawrence, tuiaki - daniella, brown. Galloway - cayless etc. I'm tipping this is how it'll end up

Dragons, Eels, Bulldogs, Tigers, Souths, Sharks, Panthers, Roosters.

Ha! All sydney teams!! Move the GF now!!

That finals series would be epic!!! There would be genuine interest in every game. Could see myself going to games involving and not involving the mighty tiges.

1\. Dragons- Will go through another regular season with the minor premiership… Still in search of some game breakers and a genuine half..
2\. Eels- Will consolidate on their miracle run
3\. Storm- Not loosing many players
4\. Brisbane- Loosing Taylor is a blow, but they have a good pool of talent with a city of such large proportions... Might miss Hunt a bit as well
5\. Tigers- really see us being premiership contenders next year... Us and Brisbane for 4 and 5 is a 50/50 call..............
6\. Dogs- If anything happens to Kimmorley they are gone... personally i think they are pretty average
7\. Manly- Filth will fall to 7th
8\. Rabbitohs- A gun forward pack wins them some matches...

good analysis Syberian. i agree with the whole top eight except for the eels at 2nd. they'll finish somewhere in the eight, but doubt they can repeat last season's feets

Disaggree with you Alien

Daniela and Brown are reserve graders. Brown Is a Good young Utility,
Taumata has already been sacked from 4 clubs. Taumata - Rated very highly, off field issues
Cayless is injury prone, as is Topou. Benji was called Inury Prone aswell, Ability of both not in question
Fitzhenry 100% plus i question Liam Fulton coming back as well…

My 8 -2010

Storm
Tigers
Eels
Dragons
Titans
Souths
Manly - In doubt #7 issues
Bulldogs - In doubt #7 issues (No depth)
–------------------

Yeah atleast Brown has some size but he could hardly make the sharks first grade side in 2009 and they were terrible.

Taumata I hope has a big year. I have no doubt he has the ability but I am a bit worried about what happens off the field. Hopefully our other players are a good influence on him.

I think Cayless and Topou will be very good for us if they stay uninjured. I think Topou could be like another Tuiaki for Wests on the other wing. I hope Cayless starts the match with Galloway in the frontrow, with Gibbs and Payten on the interchange.

I'm not sure why we signed Fitzy. We have enough wingers already. Maybe he is just a signing for balmain ryde eastwood. Fulton will be good for us if used the right way. We need his defense but he shouldn't be expected to make huge hitups, and shouldn't be used as a decoy runner all the time either!

LOL at people predicting us to come first. A bit of realism please.

1\. Eels
2\. Bulldogs
3\. Titans
4\. Melbourne
5\. Dragons
6\. Tigers
7\. Manly
8\. Souths

9\. Roosters
10\. Cowboys
11\. Broncos
12\. Sharks
13\. Panthers
14\. Warriors
15\. Raiders
16\. Knights

In no specific order:

Titans
Storm
Parra
Souths
Sharks
Tigers
Dogs
Eels

My flashing xmas lights have spoken! Souths V Dogs in GF! I'm putting a dollar on it with the booky!LOL

Whilst other teams have been progressively losing star players to ESL/Union over the past few years, our squad continues to get stronger and stronger.
I honestly can't find a fault in out backline as each player is in very good form. The forward pack doesn't even need to be thought about as we have quality props with good reserves on the bench. The only questions that remain are who will take the other wing spot and what second rower/hooker combo should be used on the bench.

With that in mind, Tigers top 4 (baring serious injury)

Not very convincing.

…......The forward pack doesn't even need to be thought about .......

Weve added one front rower - one....one thats struggled with form & injury in england - to a squad thats misse dthe semis four years running.
I hope you are right, but quantity (recruits) doesnt equal quality.
