Toxic fan bases

Mate have you read the threads lately we are building the right way and people are still calling for madges head despite clear signs of on field improvements

In all seriousness I think people are way too negative. The results matter but the team is putting in and there are heaps of positive signs.

I think a big problem now is that we are too focused on our favorite players. Brooks, Hastings and Doueihi come to mind. There is a bit of competition amongst these players within the fan base.

Plus we've been losing for years and we are still losing.

As for the signing news I love listening to people posting information. I also don't take it seriously until it's an official announcement. The nature of signings is that it can change right up until the contract is signed, sealed and delivered.

I think we're more docile.
100% - Dogs, Eels, Saints etc - their fans would have signs at the ground saying sack the coach or CEO if they were on a streak of non-semi final football as long as ours

I know this place can seem toxic at times but it is nothing compared to other teams forums. Even the Roosters forum turns on Trent Robinson if they aren't leading in a game

we are the only team that has miracle tries and bounces of the ball go against us or penalites like a few years back at campbletown when for no reason Brisbane get a penalty right infront in golden point to win the game
even the 2010 scrum knock on by Heighno
or the Warriors semi final loss in 2011

As a supporter base we are rightfully negative due to history

Hyper fixating just like some of the other ‘fans’. This thread is stupid and I’m a little disappointed that the guy who brings it up hasn’t contributed much, if at all, to the forum itself.

We are not one of the worst fan bases but we ARE:
- Starved of success
- Prone to losing our best players
- Paying overs for absolute dummy retirement deals
- Sacking coaches over and again with no apparent change

There’s a whole shit tonne more ^ where that comes from, but overall, we as fans do deserve better from the administration as well as certain players and staff.

So purely by the fact that we are for the most part (99.9 percent) all aware of the obvious and flawed performances of people paid to their jobs within the club, we’d have to be a fair wad smarter than your average Doggies, Saints, NZ or Knoughts fan.

We have, at least on here, been making more rational arguments and clearer plans for what our successful, overarching whole-club vision will be for the coming years, and this is what has seemingly allowed us to retain some semblance of sanity after going through all this hardship.

Let us get our favourite players back on field from injury and behind our new general, then back ‘em to the hilt and UP the mighty Wests Tigers.

They are all toxic but pretty sure Tigers are not the worst. This must almost be indisputable? If we were the most toxic we all would surely have quit by now, through lack of wins.

I would guess Dragons fans, but they are also quite fatalist, so maybe that brings them down a ranking or two.

Eels the club, i.e. the whole shebang of roster, club officials, coach, fans, suburb - they are the worst as an overall entity. Nothing redeeming about them at all except Peter Sterling and Brett Kenny.

I can only imagine of being a Storm fan, there would be almost nothing at all to complain about. Imagine your team wins 2 out of every 3 weeks for 20 years? I cannot fathom it.
