TPJ and TPA

The salary cap and TPA's aren't a great system

You get rid of TPAs and you just drive the under the table payments underground .....

Might as well just bring back the late 90's all over again

Happy you're one of the first to demand the Club improve its playing roster, especially forwards.

With what we know now, it would be very difficult to achieve. In fact, retaining your juniors who have become stars would also appear problematic.

Sorry Paws ..maybe you have understood me , but we need to keep the salary cap

THE TPA though has to change ...I don't know the answer.... maybe they need to be made public but you just will never stop the under the table payments which unless a certain property developer is suddenly open with his very large Aladdins Cave we won't be able to compete on the player market or the field

Couldn't happen to a better club or player. The fix is easy, NRL administer salary cap and reistered TPA, no exceptions, clubs organise the amounts and distribution. Constant microfinancial auditing and transparency from the clubs. Any payment variation or hidden payment to contract results in a 50% salary cap reduction the next season, effectively making the club destroy its own salary cap and list management for several years to come.
It would only happen once, and never again.

No need to apologise, I am venting over how some clubs seemingly always can do the impossible when acquiring or re-signing high profile players, Miracles have been known to occur near Redfern.

The minute I win Powerball I can help Paws until then we need to cross our fingers and toes and anything else you can twist in a knot

TPJ please just walk away and lose the money. Don't expose this as the foundation for retaining and attracting big name players may potentially collapse.

Sorry I can't agree with that.

I hope he blows the lid on it all.

I'm being facetious. I hope this results in an audit of all payments to players.

The NRL have little option but to engage a firm to undertake a forensic audit of all payments to players.

Ha - don't make me laugh....never in million years - uncle Nick will never let it happen...the powers that be do. not want a level playing field, they never have and never will

But but , they sign for way unders because they want to be apart of a successful club and play with great coaches . Isn’t that why everyone signs for unders at broncos and roosters and souths

Since Pangai's manager has a special relationship with the NRL, it is not hard to imagine this line of investigation being pursued by the Integrity Unit.

The SMH article also referred to individuals attempting to dissuade Pangai from pursuing the matter. That may and should interest the NRL.

I would suggest that people would instantly resign if this was the case....and it wouldn't be a push from NRL management....it would be from powerbrokers at clubs.....just be careful of any russians hanging around at team meetings in cafes.

RLPA should be concerned about the potential for these types of Agreements not being paid due to businesses in difficulties.

I would love to think that PVL will clean them out but I don't think it will happen, certain people are too powerful, too well connected and have too much to lose. I expect there may be a sacrificial lamb or two but will this sort of thing will never be excised cleanly from the game...highly unlikely.

I think TPJ will head to europe to play....no way people will want his rubbish around their club....

makes you wonder why the roosters said no to him.....now especially given his undisclosed 3pd have come to light...it would bring down their whole business model

What, no more free porcelain veneers?

Imagine taking your 3rd generation Kambala old girl back to your ritzy studio in Potts Point for a night of passion without the veneers!

I dont know what would be better, Broncs getting stripped of points and getting the spoon or if they get it the old fashion way of loosing all their remaining games and the doggies grab a couple.

Old fashion way...

Then play for 0 points every year for every dollar of the non 3rd party deal ..at the 6pm Friday timeslot until 2087..

Lol

I wonder if this will wind up like the suggestions previously that they had some cap issues only for Andrew Gee to disappear into the night along with any suggestion they had a problem.

They might get a slap on the wrist. The NRL can't afford the Broncos to be hung drawn and quartered like they deserve.
