NOOOOOOOOOOOO

No way! He snubbed us 2 years ago to sign with the Dogs! Has bulked up too much and lost his pace

Incorrect - we pulled out because of our cap.

What's wrong with DWH for a wing positoin. Madge made him (C) of NZ team so he clearly rates him. He's got a couple of brain snaps in him but overall a pretty solid winger (nothing else though).

His kick returns remind me of K.Hunt. Fast and ferocious, so good to watch.

Who is this DWH - is he any good?

What club is he from? Is he from ESL?

Dallin Watane-Helezniak.

A bit like most social media......fantasy until the truth comes out.....

I’d rather we give Fitzgibbon or Gebbie a shot before this nuffie

Gebbie playing Flegg atm lol and Fitzgibbon has a good game on the weekend, but not close to first grade! You boys complain about Talau, but want dudes who aren’t kicking down the door in reserves just because they have speed lol

Gebbie is playing RMC

Dude ...Gebbie is the next Larry Corowa and Fitzgibbon the next Ken Irvine ...haven't you been reading the posts from the posters who couldn't pick either out in a police line up ....

Surely you would know more about Gebbie having had the chance to see him play a year in the QLD Cup before he got stuck in PNG last year?
In 24 games he scored 19 tries, made 21 line breaks and 162 tackle breaks. He also averaged 208 running metres per game.
Can't be too bad seeing you canetoads reckon the level is a step above our reggies.
Maybe he's having trouble adjusting this time or just needs to get fit?
Fitzgibbon is still learning ... but they both have real speed so would be great to see them get to NRL level.
Let's be honest, the wingers we have got now are barely NRL level anyway.

Penrith let him go and he went to another club. That club recruited a coach that has a history with the Panthers and would know DWZ's strengths and weaknesses quite well.

Despite his stature and the overall performance of the club, he seems happy to let DWZ walk.

No alarm bells ringing for anyone else????

A lot of people seem to be happy to let Mbye go from here?

anyone know if this DWZ rumour is true ?
My mate who knows someone connected at Dogs says the deal is done for a mid year swap and will be announced today
It seems a strange move from the club but if we move walters on I guess we have room
I thought we could have done better than DWZ

Who does he think we are swapping for DWZ?

I understand that DWZ isn’t a big elite signing, but I think everyone knows our club isn’t capable of landing those sorts at present.
He is better than Noffa,Cini,Kepoa,Talau and possibly Roberts? He is super athletic and plays pretty aggressive, but as others have stated he has a mistake in his game,as all our current backs do.
I just hope we don’t spend too much on him.

I have concerns with DWZ because he won’t come very cheap and has been really average since he joined the Dogs (I was very keen for us to sign him before he went there). If he can recapture his 2018 and previous form he’d be a good buy. I just don’t know if he can.

I was the same Avo,was really hoping we landed him in 2019
That whole dogs squad has been average past 3 years.
But yeah ,massive risk.could be a potential disaster(Mbye,Packer)

went over to the kennel to see what they're saying about all this, turns out they've put two and two together and come up with the idea that we're swapping DWZ for our very own Adam Doueihi. also referenced this very thread and were having a laugh at us. if that doesn't make you giggle I'm not sure what will

Fitzgibbon is on the way up and is such an exciting talent he attracts interest, just like JAC did at our club. DWZ has been let go from two clubs and is on a downer. As a development club, buying him sends all the wrong signals to our young players. It's also tactically better to let him stay at the Dogs to frustrate their player acquisitions.

As for Gebbie, unless you have spent time in PNG, it is difficult to understand the adjustment process necessary for PNG nationals. The Olam story is good to listen to for background.

With regards to Fitzgibbon, how Melbourne are able to keep players with high potential, despite not having them in FG, is to pay them overs to play reserve grade. It's rumoured that Harry Grant was being paid a handsome contract for a reserve grader. That way the player doesn't get too disgruntled if they can't crack firsts. It also shows the club is committed to them.

Are you 2040 or magpies ? Interested as both posters tend to culminate their posts with questions, even when totally not required

They're dead set delusional if they really believe Tigers would trade AD for DWZ.

Prehaps a swap option for Fitzgibbon is on the cards ? would be handy experience

people people people...
DWZ is not been brought in for a fullback as he have a great FB in Daine Laurie..
If he comes he is coming as a winger and can cover FB if injuries happen.. He was an excellent winger at Panthers and people need to give him a chance before bagging him.. You can also guarantee Hartigan has not paid overs for him as he has not paid overs for anyone.. Look how Joe O turned out after a club move
Trust the process..
