Transfer Market: Tigers’ shock bid to snare DWZ

I think losing Josh A was bad but not on the dollars he was being offered. I'd still take Josh A over Joe O for the same dollars. Joe O has been pretty good though.

If Dallin saga eventuates, my only thought is that if club extends Bj for a yr or two he will most likely feature in reserves, so will Roberts get the flick next season?
1. Laurie
2. Nofo
3. Talau
4. Gildart
5. DWZ

Out of that backline JTJ would be my number one winger and probably centre too.

Still yet to see Roberts tested on the wing. He'll be up against sivo on Sunday so let's see how he goes. His two games on the wing have definitely been his best though, at centre he was pretty average however being fit and Injury free has certainly helped

I’m not saying he’s a superstar winger, but he’s better than Nofo and DWZ. They’re both nuffies. As for centres Talau is ok without being great and Gildart has his work cut out for him playing NRL.

There is no way he is better than Nofo. Nofo has been running it back hard and scoring some tries as well. He has just had a couple of poor mistakes in his game. He has done more than JTJ this year.

Half the time he runs sideways and his defence is appalling. I think Nofo is a complete myth, I don’t understand what people see in him.

He is always 100% effort and plays with pride in the jersey. If we had 17 players like Noffa we'd be winning premierships.

We would let in 100 points a game.

He scores tries and he hits it up hard. I get that his defense is poor and he makes mistakes. He is a first grade quality winger with some flaws but wingers are often like that. He has been our best outside back by far excluding Doueihi.

We’ll have to agree to disagree. I think he’s been one of our worst.

https://www.nrl.com/stats/players/?competition=111&season=2021&stat=1000037

He makes the best average metres out of all of our players. Laurie comes second and no other Tigers players are in the top 50 in the NRL.

https://www.nrl.com/stats/players/?competition=111&season=2021&stat=38

Our biggest try scorer as well.

He has a lot of flaws but he is one of our better players especially in the outside backs.

There are 2 aspects to the game and Nofa is extremely poor at one of them.

No winners in that deal....

Lollll.
DWZ could do OK tho at a different club.
I have doubts, I wanna be positive tho.

Dud for a dud ...great

1. Cancel the deal all together with DWZ
2. Cancel Joeys Club Option and offer him peanuts of 150-200K a year, take it or leave it
3. Spend either 400K if he signs for less, or 600K on a new player, possibly a forward or winger.

No, no and no.
Do the swap with no $ differential = good deal.

I’ve heard from a good source part of the reason we low balled Josh A was he had bung knees. He’s already missed 5 weeks for Manly and they seem to be doing just fine without him

After watching Leilua on Saturday, he has no chance of NRL at WTs. He looked unfit, overweight, couldn't get back onside in time, wouldn't chase and was generally disinterested. Other than that I didn't have a problem with him.

Dwz is a winger playing as fullback he has zero ball playing skills if he came to us he would be in the wing and if we could swap him for bj it’s a win win for us

DWZ - big body, runs hard, can put on a big hit, lacks genuine pace and error prone. Does that tick all recruitment boxes?

We have a better option:
Tupou, or Morris bros

The Morris winger just retired officially.

Tears of joy

No winners in that deal....

Lollll.
DWZ could do OK tho at a different club.
I have doubts, I wanna be positive tho.

Dud for a dud ...great

1. Cancel the deal all together with DWZ
2. Cancel Joeys Club Option and offer him peanuts of 150-200K a year, take it or leave it
3. Spend either 400K if he signs for less, or 600K on a new player, possibly a forward or winger.

No, no and no.
Do the swap with no $ differential = good deal.

Then what.. pay his full pay packet the next few years? No..

DWZ NO

BJ keep him this year and thats it

No bulldogs pay some
Of his salary this year and next then the third year he takes a pay cut
Do you really doubt Hartigan?

Can't get them all right. I rate Hartigan very highly but he signed BJ and Musgrove who have both been dud signings.

It seems BJ cant handle Madge's 'hard work makes us better footballers work ethics'.
From memory there was a fair bit of excitement when Musgrove was signed. What's happened to make him a dud signing?

We signed him to a long term contract and he’s been pretty hopeless

Yeh I've gathered he's been 'pretty hopeless' but what's happened for him to become that...injuries?
I thought he was going to be our enforcer like Packer was
supposed to be.

He has a foot injury atm, he’ll be back.

That tells me a heck of a lot more than saying he's pretty hopeless as Avo said.
