Trent hodkinson

guys i hear the bulldogs are chasing trent hodkinson from many for next year. Manly dont have much cash left for next year and i think he would be a good buy at not a huge price. i know we have moltzen and lui but geez the way things have gone this year with injuries he would be great.

Very true. Rather have Ryan at #1 and Moltzen at #7 than Ryan back on the wing, Moltzen at fullback and Hodkinson at half.

Moltzen doesn't get hurt next season we'll enjoy more success early on.

Agree 100%.

If Lui overcomes this injury and returns near his best, in my opinion he has skills at a level way above Hodkinson. If Lui was off contract this year there would be more than just the Bulldogs after him.

If Raiders brought Dugan into grade then I would like to see them keep him too.

We have an U20's and two state cup sides. Surely we can develop our own rather than circling like vultures like the Roosters do.

Manly bought him from Parramatta, Manly don't develop any juniors they just buy other clubs' just before they hit the grade.

Hodgkinson is a very good player.

Hodkinson is a real organising halfback, excellent defender (He'd be in the top 3 of halves in the league), very good kicking game and is a great goal kicker. I'd love him to be our halfback.

Our Halves aren't the issue now. I'm more than happy with having Moltz/Lui as our 2 7's. If both halfbacks are injured, most teams will struggle.

In fact, our whole backline is building nicely with Mullany coming through in NYC, Tuiaki not back yet and Taumata still gaining fitness.

Our only real focus should be another prop or 2! Lima has to be poached.

If we had the coin and the cap space to buy a quality no7 and a quality frontrower I would say go for it, but in reality we probably dont. At this stage i think Lawrence's signature should be priority no1 but iam not sure if the club has the same priority. Could be wrong and not based on any inside info but have the feeling the club might be willing to let Lawrence go if they can get a shot a marquee Storm player like Cronk. I do stress Iam probably 100% wrong on this one just a feeling I have

Agreed, agreed. With Lui and Lazuras (next year) we have some very good half backs. Plus Moltzen of course.
