Yep, the undesirable clubs in the comp will get the rough end of the pineapple with this. No doubt about it.Pretty much lol, the NRL would have to be the most reactive sport in the world to rule changes. How many other codes would change about 5 rules a year?
Agree. If Ogden was the fullback in the second half, I fear for his future. Just terrible.Earl there wasn't a problem 'D' in the first half [which resembled close to a run on side minus Laurie AD etc] having Peach ball playing, in fact we were really solid up the middle against a very big pack.
Our problem was either on the edges or out wide.
The first try, Noffa went too low close to the line and another Kekma was on the ground injured. In the first half [not including a tearaway Tom Terrific] we should have been leading.
For some reason our men at the back allowed ball to bounce which was about the only real serious flaw in our game.
The second half was a game of touch footy from our young boys who were lost.
I'm actually happy with the first half 'trial'
Zac Cini levels bad.Agree. If Ogden was the fullback in the second half, I fear for his future. Just terrible.
😂Saw a thing pop up from foxsports saying tigers thrashed Madge under pressure, bit premature i reckon i give him til at least round 10 before the blowtorch is applied.
I liked taipari a lot as well, he has speed and is nippy on his feet
Hugeee fan of the number 9 hooker, we definetly can't let him go
Dillon had glimpses of brilliance... he danced around the shit trobjevic brother with ease ,
Toa looked great as well
Looking forward to next weeks game, anyone know time and date?
Thanks to the panthers.Prior to this year trainers could alert the referee and they had to stop the game. That won’t happen anymore
I'm sorry mate but I disagree with practically everything you've said unless your referring purely to the second half of young untested players getting a run. You'd wanna hope that with Laurie and Hastings back we improve in attack .. but whats with our forwards .. not one of them looked like they were gonna penetrate the defence line .. then also not one of them aimed up in our defence.
I know its only a trial game but when they called our try back for obstruction .. why didnt they call first Manlys first try back for obstruction .. go back and watch it .. Manly's lead runner runs straight into our player denying our player a chance to come across .. exactly what we got pinged for ... if the TV refs are gonna call what they can see .. they better be consistent .. it was terrible.
Let's hope next weekends trial against the Rorters we go better, otherwise we're in for another long hard season of misery.
I wouldn’t be to hard on Dillon or Ogden they both haven’t played for a while since flegg was called off half way through last year imo the touches dillon had he looked very sharp with the ball last nightMiles ahead of Dillon and Ogden based off what I saw so far... maybe they jump him in the coming years but right now Laurie is our best fullback and a great prospect
The only positive from next week will be that whatever huge margin they put on us, it won't go towards our points differential.Made myself to watch it again this morning and took zilch from the experience ….. so nothing additional positive to add.
We will see what next week brings up against pumped up roosters …… SIGH! looking forward to it ….. NOT!
I guess he didn’t touch any of the bombs that came his way so you are correct.I wouldn’t be to hard on Dillon or Ogden they both haven’t played for a while since flegg was called off half way through last year imo the touches dillon had he looked very sharp with the ball last night
I Quite enjoy Demps expressing his opinion on Brooks. He's not good enough to be our halfback! I could already tell by his first kick last night nothing will change.Negativity is like a contagious disease. When one player is negative, either by his actions or demeanor, it quickly spreads to another, and another, until every player is infected.
The whole club has become infected. [As with it's supporters]
More often than not, the way to curb this rot is to bring in coaches and players who have not been infected.
Jackson, To'a, Gildart etc.
The last trial with a new group injecting fresh thoughts and actions is what this club needs and can give us some momentum.
Unfortunately there is still a bit of cancer remaining at the club. Let's hope new players and coaches can inject a workable vaccine into our system.
We can only do what we can control and that goes with us forum members. Losing brain cells over a player you don't like [Brooks] is good to express yourself but not continually beating yourself up over it. It just peeves readers off and becomes boring.

EDIT: Looks like we will share the spoon with Roosters AND Storm. They got roughed up by Warriors. So, if trial form is everything based on what some say on here, them we are in good company.I only saw the second half and neither side impressed me at all. I saw a lot of unknown young guys on both sides run around with no timing, no cohesion, no understanding of the play or each other. Exactly what I would expect from a trial.
If you take trial form to mean anything, we will be fighting for the spoon with the Roosters.
Perspective.
