Triple M rumour

If I were Mortimer I wouldn't come here. The club is displaying how poorly it treats its players, why would anyone want to come here?

He is only 27 but unfortunately it feels like his best is miles behind him
I only ever remember 2 good seasons from him

I only remember 2 good games from him :unamused:

hahahahaha , is it because he never wore our colours ?

Nah …it's not that at all , I've never rated him !
He's the last player we need .

Besides Farah (which a lot of people would argue) what other players have the club treated poorly?

Why not?
We bought a reserve grade hooker already ruled out for season last year.
That worked out well.

Like who???With the exception of Farah they seem an awfully happy playing group at the moment. Two straight wins and eyeing off a finals berth, why such bitterness???The real question may be why certain player treats the club and the coacheSSS so poorly????Just a thought. 😱pen_mouth: 😱pen_mouth: 😱pen_mouth:

farah
halatau
cherry
could all be gone plus ballin might retire

we hardly have any reserve halves
at the right price mortimer would be a good signing IMO

Who was that? Assuming that you are talking about Ballin, but sure he was playing 1st grade. At least there will be no argument that whoever signs Robbie will be getting a 33 year old reserve grader.

You obviously have a short memory.

I don't mind Mortimer.. Though I wouldn't pick him if I were coach..

I just hope they don't sign him on a 15 year heavily back ended contract Wests Tigers style

Yes your right, but I guess Taylor see Mortimer as a jack of all trades with a bit of experience and a handy defender that would not break the bank. Gives him insurance for 9 6 and 7.

Would not be my choice, but I have seen us sign a lot worse

When did Ballin play reserve grade?

He didnt.

Mind you given ET has been our best player this year and our best recruit since Gaz Ellis, lets go buy some more reserve graders. We have had some great fortune buying reserve graders, particularly in recent times - Martin Tapau, James Gavet, Blake Austin, Kevin Naqaima all slayed it for us.

Completely different player and role. Cherrington is a starting hooker alone. Mortimer is a utility who will most likely interchange with Liddle in the 9 role and fill any other gaps across the backline when they arise. Mortimer is one of the better utilities in the game at present. So long as we are planning on a limited role for him and are paying him commensurately, I would be very happy with his signing.
