At the very least if he can get a handful of games , he should qualify for SL and get himself a contract kicking arse for Castleford or Huddersfield .
The doors that are opened up by this are huge .
I’m stoked for the guy ! And he definitely earned it. Everyone could see the hunger .
Hopefully it’s infectious and it resonates across the whole team.

Faataape got his chance last season, gets a development contract to stay and starts again on Friday, now Hope has his moment with Api out this week.

It shows that there are still opportunities at WT if capable players missed the cut as a youngster, and they have the hunger to repay the faith. Gotta love a battler.

The guy really impressed me in the trials and was hoping there was some way he could be given a crack but there is no way that I expected this.

What impressed me the most energy wise, was when Tristan ran onto the field (I think for his second stint) after a WT try had been scored on the other side of the field, and the exuberance he showed to get there and in amongst the celebrations.

That sort of stuff is why the other boys want to play alongside him, and whilst I like Tallyn as well as Api, it is good to have another with ability keen for their spots.
