**Tigers simply the Groatest as Bellringer leads Sheens out of the Woods.**

The much maligned Tigers front row have totally dominated the highly rated Canberra forwards, leading the Tigers to an emphatic victory at Campbelltown Sports Stadium last night. Much maligned youngsters Groat and Woods, along with recent signing Mathew Bell, have answered their critics the best way possible by stamping their authority with a classy display that will give their detractors much food for thought.

Youngster Groat said he appreciated all the support he'd been receiving after an ordinary performance aginst Saints, and said the reason he loves the tigers is that they have so many true supporters who really encourage and stick behind the players through thick and thin. Coach Sheens said that because he can't read he doesn't bother having a computer, and therefore cannot access the websites which told him to drop Groat.

Meanwhile Stephen Humphries said that this performance may stop the outcry regarding the need to sgn Willie Mason. "It's not much fun coming to work and having you guys throw "Big Willie" up in my face each day. Its times like that I wish I'd stayed in my previous job as a porn star where I got paid a lot more money to have the same thing happen."

Something along the lines that we won , but we have a long way to go before we can consider ourselves premiership material

Maybe a headline like FLYIN RYAN BREAKS RAIDERS HEARTS WITH LAST MINUTE TRY

Where have WT been hiding Miller. Brillant display but this half back.

Ellis shows why he is so important to the WT.

Farah given permission to talk to Parramatta. (Daily Telegraph can't let us enjoy the win without a backhanded comment)

Canberra Raids Through Tigers Territory

Canberra, last night, pulled off an incredible victory in a match dominated in controvesy. Wests tigers started the stronger of the two sides, leading 24-0 just before halftime through six unconverted Mat Utai tries. Who returned early from injury and relied his incredibly low centre of gravity to continually penetrate a weak Canberra line. Amazing scences followed in the final minutes of the first half where young props Matt Groat And Aaron Woods became distractd by a butterfly entering Cambelltown stadium and proceeded to try a catch it allowing Canberra to score two quick try's up the middle bring half time score to 24-12.

At the half time break, Tim Sheens decided to respond by promoting the pair off props to joint captains for entertaining the crowd and move them into Half and Five Eighth, benching Benji Marshall who was playing both positions. In responce the tiger played smart football, working through there sets and successful managed to strangle most of the second half with scores remaining 24-12\. Canberra broke the deadlock in the 70th minute when Terry Campese scored after the Tigers failed to contest a midfield bomb and canberra regathed. Marshall then returned to the field but kicked it out on the full on the first tackle from the resulting kickoff, allowing canberra great field position which they used to level the scores. Canberra then controverially took the game after the final siren kicking an 80m field goal, which niether went over or through the posts, though Referee Jarod Maxwell allowed to stand stating it was his goal in life to ensure the Tigers never won.
