Tuqiri set to stay on at tigers

Personally I think Lote has got some good footy left in him still, but at his price tag and at the expense of Ryan and delaying Korobete, I dont undertand it.

Even if the objective is for him to mentor the younger guys like Koro, theres only so much he can do at training.
If Ayshford is leaving and if Tuquiri was a bit younger and could play centre inside Koro or even fullback, then I'd be all for it. I think Lote is a winger only though at his age.

1\. Lote
2\. Utai/ Nofo
3\. Lawrence (left centre)
4\. or Tuquiri (right centre)
5\. Koro

If Koro needs his hand held….isnt that the culture we are trying to get away from?

"Nursed"
That sounds so soft

Makes me sick

I agree Ink.

Who held Chris Lawrence's hand when he came to top grade? If you're good enough, get in their and have a go, regardless of age.

I think it depends on the person,a lot of kids get homesick.Balmain had a guy,i forget his name but he was a friend of my Uncle's, that used to look after and help settle in the country kids, black & white, to give them every chance to play 1st grade.I don't think much has changed,it would be very daunting for a young Fijian living in Sydney without some sort of support.

Did your uncles mate also play in the same team, taking up cap space as well as offering support?
One can be done without the other
There are senior players in the squad already to provide guidance….if theres a lingo problem it certainly didnt seem to be apparent when he scored his four pies v Parra, yet if there is a prob, theres the whole off season to work on it

Speak for yourself, not others.

I really hope Lote take the younger players under his wing and helps develop them, even if he gets injured again. Lote time to give back to the game that gave you so much!

Can he be a role model for our young wingers and NOT play FG? Hope so.
