TUQIRI

Feel for Lote, the injuries have killed him. He is like a bus trying to turn around. Plus he spends half the game out on his feet. He is a class act and I have a huge amount of respect for him, however It might be a hard slog to turn it around. He was fantastic in 2010 but that seems a long time ago.

All I know is that we need a better winger out there. He can run it back hard but he looks like a liability at all other times.

I felt he was decent until the last 20 minutes. He was however DREADFUL in this period. Why was he coming in off his wing is what I want to know.

Ill have to look at the replay Hybrid. Lawrence does have a tendency to race out and leave the winger posted, although Lote looked to make some very average decisions. Lote desperately needs a couple of months footy on the trot, I'm not giving up on him but he looks like he has lost a couple of yards and his fitness is clearly down.

Happy to have Lote play part game but he struggles to play a full game. Would rather have Ayshford on as fresh legs late in the game.

I feel sorry for lote, he's only hanging around so he can top up his super.? How about at the start of each half the ground staff mark out a 5 square metre box in the corners and tell him to stay in there and he can only move if the ball comes into the box?

He does seem slow, probably past his best, but he has done his share of marketing really, captured kids imagination, worth the money.
Is this his last year?

Some of our inside players didn't help him in defence today but it must be stressed that he didn't really help himself either especially in the last 15 minutes.

I agree, Lawrence rushed out of the line a couple of times and left the old man stranded. He is a champion (lote), but the game has moved on…... (speed).

Was good in 2010…. Injuries and liability since... Time to step down or give him a shot at fullback..

Enough excuses. I've been hearing it week after week since last year. Tuquri is long past his prime. He is too old, big and slow. He missed so many tackles again! Was found out of position that led to more than one try.

He is constantly in back play catching his breath. How can this be possible at this stage of the season and with so many games under his belt by now? He's only playing on the wing for goodness sake and doesn't have any where near the workload of the forwards or the rest of the team for that matter. Why the hell is he always looking exhausted?

Believe me, if we hadn't have won, more people would be screaming for Tuquri to be dropped after watching that pathetic display. We can't keep carrying this massive liability if we want to be competitive against the better sides.

Sheens is obviously livid and there is no better time to make big decisions. If the Eels can drop Sandow worth more than $500k a season then I can't see why Sheens can't drop Lote who's worth approx. $300k a season. We have better wing options in the club.

how come Murdoch Masila was defending out on Lote's wing for a bit?

I was wondering about that when I saw it, was he sent out to help Lote, don't get it….

He copped a boot in the head at the start of that set and was defending out on the wing while trying to get his bearings again.

It is a bit heartbreaking isn't it? I wish things would turn around for him, I hate to see a player like Lote go out like this, but at the moment, it's just not working.
