Can we please stop thinking about signing bloody utility players .....

So we'll just ignore players because they have utility value? He's gone well at lock for the Titans and that's where I'd want to see us play him. Who do we have on the roster for next year that is going to do a better job than him at lock (if we are looking to move on from the big body at lock)?

Isn't that Hastings spot ........bwahahahahaha

Hastings spot is 7...unless a new coach gives Brooks a much needed rebirth
..and btw,the last thing we need is more fringe first graders like Peachy..weve got a whole team of em already, with few exceptions
Its either proven NRL players ideally with some leadership skills(but not necessarily if its a key position like centre or backrow).. ,or youth.

Right so a bloke who has played 177 games of first grade, including at least 20 in each of the last 7 seasons is now within the definition of a "fringe first grader"?

Unlike Hastings/Simpkin/Liddle/Doueihi at least Peachey has actually **played** locked at an NRL level and done a decent job of it. I'm not pushing him as some kind of difference maker but he doesn't seem like he'd be a bad option at the right price...

But are we after a utility atm? I would have thought we had more priorities?

He cant make the first 13 in a run on gig anywhere...and rarely has
Not exactly what we need atm Mr Peachey...

17 players play first grade every week. Liam Martin, TPJ, Harry Grant and David Fifita are all starting on the bench this week, does that make them fringe first graders? Fifita is on the bench behind Peachey actually...He'll have started more games than he's played from the bench this year too (just).

I don’t mind him. We need people that can get up off the turd quick for a quick okay the ball. We have too many blokes that are the same. Stefano is real good at it but not many others. Peach is good at it too

Merlot....is that you??

@merlot has become my favourite poster to read on the forum.
Must say I was hugely disappointed not to see him somehow involved (whether it be compiling the questions or providing answers) in the role play, for last week's podcast @cochise @helmesy.
Personally think he would've made a great Sheens or Pascoe.

Lol

And we shall call you Shiraz. Matches your beard.

God help us all ......

Been out suspended to has Mr Peachey ......

On his day he can be a good contributor and prove a point of difference.
For me though, he drifts in and out of games and is too inconsistent.
We have enough inconsistent players.

Being on the bench for Storm or Panthers means they wld walk into our 1st 13 ...and probably contend for our player of the year!!
Fifita is an unusual one...if he wasnt the highest paid player in the NRL he wldnt be getting a game with his self entitled attitude
Which brings me back to Peachey...very talented and has had about a decade to force his way into run on teams ,but hasnt cut it because of his inconsistency.
And with opportunities fast diminishing atm,he has now lit the wick...
Weve had too many of these types, and need genuine 1st graders NOW cause weve got a whole bunch of juniors coming thru who may actually develop into 1st graders are more deserving of bench spots rather than seat warmers like Peachey

Wests Tigers cant continue to be the last station before players retire.

Difference between Experience and Has Beens

Lockdown will do that for you

Lockdown has just about broken me today

Always enjoy reading your post on here.

Given an option, I think he adds much more than MCK, but would likely want more money.

I would take him for 2 years as long as he is not asking for exorbitant amounts & MCK is moved on. We have plenty of money and don't seem to have any plan to spend it

If you mean someone that is a utility, not quite up to first grade standard, should be at the bottom of a 30 man roster and called upon when others are injured, I could not agree more.
