Absolutely NO comparison between Peachey and Mbye.

Mbye played FB and 9 at times, ie running spots, and still only averaged 50 meters. Peachey ran for almost 100.

Peachey can be hot or cold...but he always has a crack and is bloody competitive. MUCH better runner, kicker, defender, and all effort areas...

He will be an excellent signing.

Cover 6 whilst AD is out.
Cover center whenever needed.
Perfect 13 for the modern game.
Gets repeat sets with his kicks.
Perfect 14 also for the modern game.

Major upgrade.

If all you say is true, why are no other clubs interested? Surely he would of been snapped up long ago. I think the lack of genuine interest from 15 other clubs speaks louder than whatever any of us can say here. At 200K worth the risk , even to play in reserves. 400k takes money away from securing a young & up & coming WT player that the smarter recruiters( eg Melbourne or Roosters ) will recognize the potential & snavel , after The WT have done all the work in developing. I understand most,if not all contributors here want the same thing, that is a successful WT club. But Peachy is not the answer. Could end up being part of the ongoing problem.

Because he wants good coin and while he can cover a lot of positions he isn't particularly good at any of them... he will do very little to turn us around. Desperation signing hoping an experienced utility can turn us around

I would have been much happier if we signed Connor Watson

It was reported that 3 other clubs were interested? Brisbane, Parramatta & Raiders.

Yep at 2-300k not 400.

I really can't see the point in getting Peachey. I see him as a similar style player to Moses Mbye, probably better than Mbye, but older and past his best.

A utility player? Didn't we bring in Jackson Hastings for that role?

A 30 year old utility who still can't lock down a single position and hasn't had a standout game in years

I can't believe people are genuinely excited over it. He'll be alright, he ain't gonna do much though

He's another 'former origin player' who we sign way past their prime. Tigers special this one, he's the kind of signing we have made year after year with little success.

For me it’s not about being excited. Its a bit of relief that we might secure a first grader to fill injury and experience gap so we don’t get wiped every single game next season.

I don't think Peachey makes any difference about us getting flogged every week though

If he stays fit I think he’s a quality 14. Probably overpaid if the 400 is right but that’s two Peaches to the mbye.

Would that then be a Peachi?

Peachey will at least give us some flair and attack with ball in hand through the middle.
Something completely lacking now.
Big difference to Brooks never ending flat hospital passes back inside to his forwards.

Far out a lot of you are negative.
We finally signed a decent First Grader and everyone is whinging. Painful

Who was that?

Multiple people on this page alone

Honestly I'd be surprised if he played as a ball playing lock every week. It would be the best role for him with us but I bet you he plays a bunch of different positions

Defence is our biggest issue and he does nothing for it

No, who was the decent first grader?

Apart from maybe Turbo, no one player does…

So how much are we paying, if we sign him?

No deal done yet as far as the WT site goes?

If you get a couple of the right players you definitely can, peachey probably isn't one of those

If we sign him I hope he carves up, think he's gotta play in the middle for us, don't like him in the halves or at centre.
