Tyrone Peachey?

I noticed that he's been left out of the 17 for the Panthers. It looks like Griffin is preferring Yeo and his more conservative style of play on the edge.

If we lose one of Brooks or Moses then maybe Peachey would be an option for 5/8? He's got plenty of skill and would be very solid defensively as a 5/8 (to try and balance out Brooks or Moses). Just a bit of a left field idea that I think would offer more spark than someone like Blake Green or JLJ…

Edit: Plus if the signing of ET is true then the Panthers are showing a preparedness to release players for better opportunities (as this club has done lately).

I agree with you on a lot of things FT but I honestly cringe at the thought of Coote in the halves we already have 2 guys learning the ropes in the halves position we need an experienced half if we lose one of our halves not another one that will be learning

I agree if we lose Brooks we need to bite the bullet and go for an experienced half, we can't live in hope that players are going to be something there not and the end result = wasted years of nurturing and resources.
From what I got told a Month back is Brooks is staying and isn't going anywhere…..but things change all the time.
If Moses was to go? I believe Coote would do a great job as 5/8th and has massive experience behind him.

I love Peachey as a player but for me I think his more of a ball playing lock than a 5/8th.

I'd be happy with Coote at 5/8\. He's a classy player, and he is coming up to the peak of his career.

Would shell out for Whare though. Made us look like dopes at Leichhardt last season.

St George have put in a big offer for Coote, I think that they will punt Benji and save their money on Coote.
