Why was Woods in a jersey for ??

He was in the dressing room bottom left corner with the 18 jersey at about 7.45 with the dressing room shot

Uate was fine , you just have to get him a Maroons jersey next start

I'd imagine it'd be uncomfortable for the 18th man to go through a shadow warm up in a
suit

Actually Buhrer did have the 18 jersey on, I didn't see Woods at all.

Buhrer warmed up for 7 minutes and then went home…

buhrer was in jumper 18\. woods, i saw him and someone was talking to him as well. good signs.

however, i agree, uate has been crap. i was actually calling for him not to be selected right from the start. he is another utai imo. good for the runs, useless for the other jobs of a winger. i would have blake ferguson there.

3 of the 5 tries QLD have scored this series have been on Akuilas wing ,
Origin 1 = Boyd runs in 2 tries through Akuilas wing
Origin 2 = Boyd Beats Akuilas to a bomb and hands off to Inglis for a try

A fourth Try was scored because he failed to catch a bomb :

Origin 2 = Akuila lets a bomb bounce , Queensland recover it , and Ben Hannant scores

The fifth wasn't a try , but again it was from a kick to his Wing which he failed to have any impact on . This is prob a bit harsh ..

Origin 1 = Inglis controversial try , form a kick to Akuilas side of the field

He has to go , he has had a role in every Queensland try …..

Who is next in line for the wing spot?

I Think it is time to Bring in a replacemment:

Actually Buhrer did have the 18 jersey on, I didn't see Woods at all.

Has anyone got a full coverage including lead up to the game and could confirm whether Woods was in the dressing room with an 18 jersey on with his name on it About 15-20 minutes before the start of the game

I believe he had the 19 jersey on. They always carry shadow players through the warm up incase there's an injury during the warm up. They all get jerseys with their name and a number on the back. Lawrence has done this before in 2010 I believe.

We have one primma donna winger we dont need another one, deadset Hayne's positioning on 4th and 5th tackle was atrocious, drop Uate for Beau, Brett Morris or Nathan Merrit

Sticky will probably stick with Uate (unfortunately!). As echoed on this thread (and not coz we're biased either) Beau knows wouldn't look out of place on the wing on current form. The most improved player in the NRL by miles.
I wouldn't be upset if BMoz or Merritt got a call up either.

Agreed, I can't understand the fuss over Ferguson - makes too many silly errors.

It wasn't less then 12 months ago people were calling for Brett Morris to be dropped because he watched a ball go straight past.

But now Borris is the safest thing on two legs?

when you get to origin, you automatically cut down the errors. it just happens.

origin teams are chosen on potential.. ferguson has craploads of that. he would be my choice.

Blake Ferguson :roll , obviously no one watched him play against the Tigers last start . He made Hasan Saleh look like Eric Grothe Senior

He wouldn't even be there if Michael Gordon wasn't injured.
Aku has speed and whatnot, flashy player at times but over all AVERAGE.

Needs to be replaced ASAP.

his main errors was not contesting the high ball, bad defensive reads and not having the pace to turn around and defend the line. i think he knocked the ball on just once iirc. errors like knock ons hardly happen in SOO.

im talking about the OFFICIAL defiinition of errors, not errors in defense which uate has ferguson doesnt.

ferguson is one who lifts for big games as you saw in city country. you cannot doubt ferguson's talent. there are mistakes in him like dropping balls or attitude probs which never happen on SOO level.
