Did anyone else have the pleasure of watching Anderson Silva break his leg against Chris Weidman? :/

Yeah I saw that, Its funny how people hate guys like Silva and GSP. Cant be for any other reason than they are deadset legends of the sport and gun fighters.

I was down the club and the roar from those watching when he went down was a bit sick. His leg was smashed.Looked extremely painful. Hope it doesnt end his career but the smart money is that it will.

How can people not like silva, GSP they are such good fighters Iove watching them, and silva should come back hopefully

I don't watch too much UFC but I know of Silva and GSP. I guess some people don't like successful athletes.

I'll be surprised if Silva fights again. That's x long recovery with steal poles in your leg and whatnot. I think it would end pretty much most people's career, let alone an older experienced UFC fighter. It's not the greatest way to go out either.

Judging by your comment I'd take more pleasure in watching YOU break YOUR leg. For the record though, up until he got injured he was losing that fight.

Horrendous injury and not the way a champion deserves to go out that's for sure.

Hendricks > GSP.
Silva is done, shame he had to go out like that though.

#TEAM ROUSEY.
#TEAM DIAZ BROS

to me it is an unfortunate thing that can happen in the sport look at scott prince breaking his leg in the nrl over 10 years ago. At 40 i dont see silva returning and if he did it could taint his haul. but obviously this now opens up the spotlight for more competitors to take the limelight in the middle weight division such as belfort, bisping, machida and rockhald to have some freat fights with weidman. i think it is the right time for silva to leave but obviously not in this fashion he is the best with GSP hands down and for both to leave in 2014 is going to put a lot of presure on the new crop of jones, weidmann and pettis and co to carry the ufc through the next period

i lost a lot of respect for anderson silva during the demian maia fight to be honest. admittedly, maia was one of my favourite fighters at the time (so it may have been a bit of confirmation bias going on there!) but he was outright disrespectful the way he was goading and taunting him that night. even dana white went over and blasted his seconds during it. i mean, it is fine for the greatest stand up fighter ever to say "come on! come on! lets bang!", but i didnt see him challenging maia's bjj….

i was very pleased when weidmann knocked him senseless while he was doing that in their first fight!

i will say however, that in every interview i have seen with silva, he has been modest and respectful. it is just his in cage antics i cant stand.

i saw 168 (couldnt believe harnett got owned by browne! and sad that meisha tate lost again - used to like rousey until i saw her on TUF...) and as soon as it happened my dad said he heard his leg break and said it was broken. i had to see the replay, but when i did i just cringed... ugh. i hope he recovers soon.
sad way to end probably the best ufc career to date, but thats sport, and its time for him to retire. in any case, i think he had been winning for so long that he was getting bored and he has just done it all now.
a jon jones fight was not the best thing for silva anyway.

as for GSP, well i am extremely sad to see him retire, but he obviously has a lot of stuff going on outside mma.
i am a huge gsp fan (my dogs name is Rush!) and even though he probably lost to hendricks, i was incredulous that dana white came out and flat out criticised the judges over the decision - regardless of what he thought, GSP was the winner and the champion and it was just a huge slap in the face imo. no wonder he has had enough!

i will miss him at his peak (last couple he wasnt the same after his injury) and his great attitude and sportsmanship.

Dana white is the biggest [This word has been automatically removed] in MMA. The worst fighter would kill him in 30 seconds.
Can't stand how mouthy he is when he can't fight for crap

He's a promoter, what do you expect

There were rumors a few weeks back that Brock Lesnar was gonna make a comeback but that came to nothing. He's better off in WWE anyway making millions for only 10 dates a yr, and of those dates only wrestling 3 or 4 times.

Yep and that Rumor was started by the WWE really to promote Lesnars appearance on RAW. He was never coming back to the UFC

I actually really liked watching Lesnars fights (well, except against Velasquez!) but as was shown against overeem his mma days are over.
I admit to not knowing the causes of diverticulitis, but my thinking is steroids have seriously f'ed him up.

Anyone ever see this?

Taker was pretty badass here

Said barely a couple of words to him, and it sounded virtually inaudible.

Probably hamming it up for the WWE.
