Yep it was pathetic.

Cannot stand Joe Rogan, that guy just craves the sound of his own voice. His commentary was so one-sided if you only heard the audio and not watched the actual fight you would have sworn Reyes never landed a shot. Rogan sounded like a Jones family member, either that or he is on a "cash for comment" bonus for every time he gushes over Bones.
Hats off to both fighters, Reyes was brave as all get up, Jones just showed his championship wares in the critical final 2 rounds.
Rogan can rack off to a deserted island somewhere with that hopeless judge that scored it 4 rounds to 1.

Looks like the judges saw it differently, some room for argument in rounds 3 and 4, Reyes 1 and 2, Jones definitely 5. Definitely no a 49-46, expect more to follow form today's results.

No way.

Reyes won round 1 and 2 then faded and Jones controlled the rest, fighting a points fight.

how the f**k did the judge rule jones 4-1 i saw reyes winning the first 2 rounds 100%, and jones winning the lst 2 rounds 100%

5 rounds tho?

3rd round was a Reyes round from memory.
Extremely close fight, I guess the challenger normally has to beat the champ a bit more convincingly to get the judges nod.

By and largely agree, hence the room for argument in rounds 3 and 4. By the way Demps you still think Tafa is average?

Paul Gallen eyes off UFC legend Mark Hunt in looming Australian superfight

NRL great Paul Gallen is reportedly eyeing off a superfight with Kiwi-born Australian UFC favourite Mark Hunt.

Hunt, who hasn't fought for over a year, is reportedly in the sights of boxing promoter Matt Rose who is eager to set-up the cross-discipline superfight, according to The Daily Telegraph.

His management and Rose's No Limit Boxing Promotions are understood to have been in negotiations for the past month over the tantalising possibility of a boxing fight between the pair.

If the two parties could come to an agreement, the fight would undoubtedly challenge for one of the biggest events in Australian combat sports history.

Hunt's cult following in the UFC has seen him revered as one of MMA's heaviest hitters, boasting a stunning 10 KO victories in his 13-win professional career. While **Gallen's popularity as one of rugby league's grittiest players coupled with his blossoming career in the ring would only draw in another market of fans.**

Hunt last suffered a unanimous points loss to American Justin Wills in Adelaide in the final fight of his UFC contract in December 2018.

Hunt was unable to land any of his famed fight-changing punches against an opponent who stayed out of range and picked off the veteran with a snappy right jab.

"My apologies about the performance," said Hunt at the time.

Despite a disappointing end to his time in the Octagon, Hunt's nearly two decades in the fight game and 60 bouts to his name, sees the 45-year-old with vastly more experience, but it's Gallen who has had more pure boxing fights in the ring.

Hunt has only boxed twice for a loss and a draw in 1998 and 2000 shortly after his move to Australia.

The looming fight would be a huge step up in calibre of opponent for Gallen, whose toughest test to date has come in a cross-code fight against Barry Hall who was making his professional debut.

As of yet there has reportedly been little communication from Hall's camp over a potential rematch with the Hunt fight looking a more likely possibility for the first half of 2020.
