I was banging on about this boring garbage last week but apparently I didn't watch the game

No been happening for weeks. We spend 4 out of 6 tackles setting up for a nothing play then kick it into the legs of the opposition. Thats a wests tigers attacking set ala Clearly.

I know it's been going on for weeks, but unlike most weeks, last week we had a chance to win a bloody game but closed up shop with this unimaginative crap

We haven't got the cattle. Plain and simple.

We were told to expect this from Cleary. He's rebuilt two other clubs and this is just the way it works. I'm more concerned about the momentum in signing players and specifically Rona, Watson and Tupou.

I expected this year to be a tough year but the lack of a game plan and improvement in key areas is very concerning.

Lovett and MCK being picked each week has to end.

What does Brooksy do at training. His first short kick of the game again does straight into a player and he persists with those useless midfield bombs. Drop the pretender to reserve grade he's is bloody useless. The only reason we still have him is because no other club wanted him.

And promote Jack Littlejohn?…

I don't know what the answer is mate but we can't act like he is guaranteed a first grade spot. He is a dud.

He's a dud alright. I really want him to be a success, but he just doesn't have it I'm afraid. Haven't we signed a half by the name of Gamble? Let's hope he's got more to offer than Brooks.

Sirro - with all due respect you also think ET is a dud.

In stating that geez we are ordinary. We need to score points somehow and we don't seem to have the players to do that.

I'm going to give IC though at least 3 year to get it right. Taylor deserved less because he made poor decisions after poor decision. The only thing I can fault IC for right now is our on-field performances.

No i dont think ET is a dud and have never said that. I believe he is being used wrong for what this current team needs.

Even so , our players can't even do the basics right .
How did they ever make it this far ?
We are truly a complete basket case .

Can anyone enlighten me on what Ivan Cleary has done for this team season 2017?

Forget attracting players for next year, what has he done for this team this year?

Our defence has got worse. Players clearly have no idea what to do and when to do it.

A set of six starts in opposition territory and our plan is 4 one out hit ups….FOUR. Not 2 to set something up, but 4 tackles wasted one out hit ups in the opposition half.

Our 5/8 doesn't touch the ball all game.

Please someone help me relax by giving me some examples of what Cleary has brought to this team for season 2017.

Im sorry but i can not accept things like:
He needs an off season to implement his things..(please thats a cop out)
The squad is crap.....yes but Taylor had the same squad nearly make the 8 last year.

Un coached says it perfectly… yes we are under strength but you would hope a good coach improves players and also plans to utilise our strong points ... im seeing neither . The bus is in auto pilot :frowning:
IM getting very worrying that Clearly cant coach because im not seeing anything at all that he has done for this team.

Our attack was superior to this last week you dunderhead. If you watched the game youd know that lol…
However why dont you rehash it this week now it is relevant to the game that was just played? Everyone will applaud your knowledge :unamused:

Im starting to agree with all you say….this team i feel has gone backwards under cleary....im not as enthusiastic about 2018 as most on here....sorry boys im not a fan, just my opinion...hope im proven wrong

Wrong. Our attack was crap last week to, and the week before. Maybe the odd play executed a little better which u will get every now and then, but game plan wise its a disgrace. There is no game plan.

Bring back Sheens. Only coach who ever made us competitive but we couldn't handle the fact that we missed the finals after two straight years of success.

The biggest cop out post of the year. How can you explain your reasoning when Taylor got better results with this so called self built squad? So if the results were better with Taylor, whats your answer to the question of what has Cleary done for this team?
Clearly has sent us backwards.

The team is littered with rookies and new comers and the mistakes that come with that. Only 7 players from tonight played in the corresponding game last year. Having 10 different players can't be considered a fair comparison, particularly when many of them have played their first game with us in the past month.
It's frustrating times but it's always the darkest before the dawn.

Not Cleary fault …this squad was built by Taylor .my only criticism is his selection of Kev m ...half the squad is t of first grade standard but Cleary has no option but to pick the same reserve graders week in week out .

Oh dear…Next Year..

On a positive, how good does Elijah Taylor look when he forgets about ball playing and uses his leg speed to take the line on? Geo you have to be warming to him playing on the edge? He isn't a ball player, he is a runner, and a good one when given that role. Punches hard, gets quick play the balls, runs good lines. Stop pussying around trying to ball play Elijah and just run.

Sirro is right. There is no game plan and no coaching going on. At least with Taylor, whilst you may not have agreed with his game plan, it was clear there was one.

And, last year we played some decent footy, although some crap footy too. The only real difference in personnel are Moses and Simona.

Our best game this year was against Souths Rd 1, again when Taylor was coach. Since IC's appointment, we have gradually become less and less of a cohesive unit.

I am very worried about the future of this club.

Our execution was far better.
What did you expect to happen when a coach is brought into a side that has lost 5 starting players for next year causing upheaveal, has injuries and the only replacements are not first grade standard?
He is blooding youngsters and they are playing next to plodders who wont be in the squad next year….his only chance is to find a couple of gems amongst the rubbish. Liddle, Marsters, Felise and Eisenhuth are the focus. The rest of this season is one big trial match.
