Thanks Geo, managed to get out there. If Stryker was there he would have say "I told ya so" because we we were terrible in defence today.

Obviously defence must have been bad in second half. First half must have been OK though.

Do you have any idea of the possession rate Bulldogs would have had in 2nd half? Did they dominate possession or did we have a near enough to equal share?

Was the bad defence across the park or limited to one side or area?

No we had enough ball, I think we had 3 to 4 line breaks in the second half but couldn't put them away. At one stage we dropped the ball over the line. The defence was poor across the park and it seemed to be more an attitude thing because it''s been the defence that I've been impressed with this year.

Got carved several times in the pocket behind the ruck by Bulldog individual plays. Some poor decisions and options taken by the halves didn't help their cause.

Jeez it's dissapointing.

More dissapointing is what a average Panthers side did to the Newcastle side we allowed back into the game a few weeks ago to beat us

The team needs to refocus and not read into the hype that they are a better team than last year's. There is still a lot of work to do before the semi-finals and the Tigers have some tough games in the run home.

Where is that hype coming from?

Better than Lui, Fifita x2, Schirnack, Dwyer, Nichols, Corby….dont think so....

Players certainly dont think so....

First time I've heard a comment like that. Some supporters might think so, but I doubt they should.

Players certainly wouldn't be thinking so.

Reality is it's a 26 round season and they are well positioned to make a good charge towards the finals.

Every side is going to have down periods, I'm sure this team is no different.

They've shown how good they can be and I'm sure they'll continue to improve till that long weekend in October.

Its not about peaking now.

I had heard a couple of comments recently about how good this year's team is and how they will only get better. I'm not suggesting the players are buying into it, but the team has looked a little flat lately, maybe complacent. Points can be scored so easily in this comp so the Bulldogs match is a good lesson for the team to learn from.
