Under age forum members

Im only 16 and im all for this idea but just putting it out there every lecture I've been given at school on internet safety tells me that letting people no im underage on an online forum is definatly a no-no

Which is sound advice in most circumstances but really apart from getting private messages every comment is open for moderation. I'm not aware of any member attracting the wrong sort of private message but I'm sure any moderator or admin would be willing to help out if it did happen. I think the better rule is not to give away private information about yourself if you're under age.

We seem to recently have had an influx of new members who now feel confident to express their opinions with the abolition of the facility to give negative rep points.

I think we should have both Junior-under 16 and also Female member references.

And maybe Senior member - Happy and Special member - Damo

Hang on B&W I do the old jokes around here and they are only to be aimed at Flip and sometimes Cunno

And anyway , you might have me covered age wise

Maybe something to ID Queenslanders too!

Agree. I suggest LIVING LEGENDS :righton:

Don't really think we will need ID's Yoss

Just count all the Qlders gloating after SOO Game 1 ,SOO game 2 , SOO Game 3 Their won't be many of us but I guarantee you will all know we are about

I heard a rumour going around that if NSW win the toss that they are going to do a lap of honour to celebrate , just so they know what winning something at Origin level is all about

Some of those Queenslanders are sneaky buggers Happy. They claim to be Bananabenders and yet they live and work in the Premier State…

Seeing the Premier state is Qld ,what's the issue You should possibly rename your state "Bullets Flying Everywhere state " or "We can't win a thing State"

Can win in Asia at least Happy.

Having to play in Asia 10 days after winning the A League Yoss is akin to the old days when the World Club Challenge was played within two weeks of the Grand Final and clubs would be chasing players through the streets of England just to field a team

Yes I agree with the Happy reference

It's not like it's the first time playing in the ACL.

something like the following only a suggestion for peoples thoughts/feedback.

for males junior-under 16 - blue L plates
females junior -under 16- yellow L plates

when they hit 17 progress to coloured P plates according to their gender

17 to 20 males a picture Orange P's
17 to 20 females a picture Green P's

as for older members, like myself there could be age categories as well.
20 -49- (just make this one)
50-79-
80 +
the icons could be anything, as they are there just for fun.

I think the tag should be 'Junior'
And should be optional as otherwise it can be a form of labelling. I remember when I was younger (around 13-15) and using the internet I would lie about my age on forums to make me look older because I worried that if other forumers knew my true age I wouldn't be taken seriously.

Amen. I'm all for it, as long as it is optional

This is the point. Really dont think anyone would take it up. Nice thinking but probably un necessary.

Yeah agree with Ink and all re: openly advertising youth. Whilst we say rock spiders shouldn't be on here trolling, doesn't mean it won't.

Also, a lot of the Gen Y kids use iPhones and I don't think the Roar Feed app has the ability to distinguish anywhere near the user features as it's online equivalent (I.e. posts, status, etc). So don't think it would serve a purpose in this instance.

Speaking of big Damo, I haven't seen any posts from him in ages… Is he ok?

He's probably fine, he usually only comes out when we're losing just to lay the slipper into the boys.

Losing? We've won 3 in a row and he's still been on having a dig!
