One spot left unless we release some players.
I would try to release one or more from Nofoaluma, Reilly, Kepaoa & Ngatikaura & sign a centre, maybe another back rower or front rower or both.
There are four hookers one has to go.

I think we should be looking to move on at least 4 of AJ, Reilly, Matamua, Mansfield, Tumeth & Rua. I don't think any of these guys are 1st graders.
Resign Seyfarth, Staines, sign Okalatu and keep 2 spots open for offseason promotions, like Bula could have been earlier this year.

Is that how your local grocery store works??

Grow up!!!

Just frustrated by all of the dumb crap champ!

Nofoaluma needs to be first to go just for the culture of the club!

I'd even pay $300K per year to piss him off!!
Yeah, I hear that. Or we just need to get his best out again. He's good when his attitude is there.

Fulton said "a few" so I'm guessing there will be at least 3 they are looking to move on. The juniors I mentioned could still get a run somewhere and may be easier to move on to build up more quality depth.

I'm worried they move on Simpkin over Rua and I'm liking what I'm seeing from him lately. We really only need 3 hookers in the squad.

I like Simpkin I think he mite be off to the Broncos

My list
1.Bula Bench Reserves
2.Nofoaloma Twal Douehi ( don't think will play 2024)
3.Toa Blore S Fainu
4.Naden L Fainu Reilly
5.Tupou Simpkin Feledy
6.Sullivan Galvin
7.Sezer T D Silva
8.Utoikimano , James
9.Korisau Tumeth
10.Klemmer

That's 25 based on our very poor lower grade results don't see the point in filling up our roster with too many of them .Hoping for a few more recruits

That's not how I typed it .I can see now why I had a secretary back in my working days
I'm totally hopeless

Staines is a must to re-sign.
He is a starting winger over anyone we have, and if the plan is to move Tupou into the centres over time then we are looking pretty lean on the wing.
Unless there are some juniors who could push for a spot after Round 10 next year, the wing depth might actually be worse than our centre depth.

I'm looking forward to seeing Jimmy Ngutlik develop over next year coming back from injury....
BUT,
I've not seen or heard anything on him, I'd be shocked if we've been looking after him to the point he's still around....

For mine - He should be close to being fully fit?
He is still around. I saw an Insta story from one of the boys with Jimmy in it only a couple of weeks ago.

I believe at the time he did his ACL I read somewhere that the club had committed to his recovery and would be on a NSW Cup contract in '24.

We are short on wingers. Staines is a decent option. But....he isn't a $500k a season type of winger. I'd be happy having him back, BUT, it has to be at a cap level that equals his overall impact. He isn't particularly good at doing the dirty metres out of dummy half. He hasn't been carving teams open with his blazing speed. He's solid.

Yeah don't disagree, definitely not worth $500k and doesn't help that Nofa is already on $500k.
But that said, he's an excellent finisher, he hasn't cracked many teams open, but he hasn't had much opportunity to this year via either injury or selection.
He's no To'o when it comes to meters out of his own half, but he still makes consistent meters and he can get to ground for a lighter player, he rarely gets carried backwards, he just gets to the play the ball.
I didn't think much of him at the Panthers, but watching him a bit closer, I'm a fan, I'll be disappointed if we lose him.

Possible wing scenario, if we can't offload Nofa to another club, we'll probably only re-sign Staines on a lesser deal (maybe $300k). If Staines or Nofa go elsewhere, we sign the off-contract Mawene Hiroti.

Easier to stand out for us instead of Panthers. He’s been well schooled and tends to maximise what he’s got. No superstar but I’m comfortable with him whenever he plays.
Not much news around him of late, like Naden, which worries me a little. If there are people to go I’m starting to think that they may be two of them.
