Updated Membership Numbers

This was a post from Grant Mayer on Twitter about WT membership numbers.

Edging closer to 3500 renewed members @Wests_Tigers with some big days coming up. Club needs your support so jump (back) on board.

At least they are giving us updates this year.
 
Racked up another 1000 members since last week. While it seems lower than expected to me, the club said about a month ago that numbers were up on last year if you can believe that. Maybe some people are waiting for the draw with the first 20 rounds locked in due out later this week, to know how many Monday Night games are going to be in the membership that they are looking at before making their decision.

General figures….

Most clubs can post exact figures....we have a problem with this it seems
 
We have never posted exacts until it came down to the membership drive comps that the NRL run
 
To be fair he says "edging up to 3,500". If he says 3462 then the figure is out of date as soon as the next person signs up. They look more like rounded figures based on actual data to me and are really intended to provide a running guide on numbers. Personally I have no problem with the presentation along those lines.

At any given time theres an actual figure, I dont think any rational thinking person would expect that figure to stay static when the intent is for it to grow....but it is DEFINITE.
Its a choice
they choose to be vague, as usual

Edging up as in approaching that figure. I take that to be somewhere in the 3400-3500 range. I think the average person can cope with that level of "vagueness". It's really not that strange or unusual. If you ring them up I'm sure they will give you a precise number.
 
Just got a call from Benji…strange, he asked me some vage random question about kicking out on the full in your own 22......can you help me here yess???
 
I don't really get why people are so interested in what or how many members the club 'actualy' has considering its still November…

It will be interesting what we end up on for the start of the new season, but to debate its merits while the count is still going up is about as exciting as watching Smith & Alma bat for South Africa.

I like information coming out from the club regardless ….better than getting no info at all,negatively seems to be the norm around here of late. More positive vibes required!

Oh yeah cause that's the same thing - a rule in a game compared to an update on a regularly changing figure… :unamused:

Don't worry he probably has done it for us as well at some stage
