Us vs the Storm **live game thread**

It hurts. This loss and one against the Panthers are going to hurt us this year ..... and badly.
But a good loss. We came to Melbourne and no one gave us a chance. And with this squad we outplayed them.
We are playing well and you need luck to win a game. And tonight .... simple ..... we did not get any! And hardly a penalty in second half when Melbourne were up to their old tricks.

We needed to make Melbourne work, particularly once Mats went off and Liddle would have provided just that, with or without Robbie.

Cant blame any of our boys for that loss, unfortunate. The effort was their and that's what you can ask for. We lacked class, storm didn't.

@BenzaTiger I think Madge didn't want to disturb the flow in our game, a lot was coming from Robbie.

But how can a team be penalised 8 times in the first half for their wrestle, etc... then not get penalised in the second half at all when they were clearly defending the same way. I didn't notice a change in the Storm defence... It's all about consistency and we did get the 50/50 calls but it was just odd how the game was officiated today

Heartbreaking loss for sure, especially when we were the better team all night, but very proud of the boys for that effort. Matching it with one of the benchmark teams at their home ground for all but 2 minutes is worth a wrap.

We don't seem to have trouble against the Storm, it's the rubbish teams we struggle against

It's like that every game of every week. The only consistency is the square-up. It's not fair, it's not equal, it's about appearances, like theatre. It's practically scripted.

@formerguest This is the only criticism I have Farah was shot and Liddle would of made a difference with a fatigued defence maybe Madge can answer that one.

Look we have had absolute muppetts like Jason Taylor, an uncommitted Ivan Cleary, Dead man walking Mick Potter as our coach for however long now.

Maguire better work it out very soon. Guys Like Mahe Fonua are not the guys you rely on to win games.

We recruited a guy from the Roosters who can handle pressure.

Tonights loss is on the coach. holding back Mikaele and not playing Liddle is one thing, supporting a flog like Fonua is another.
