Hey guys, Im in the market for a used car. My budget is $30,000 and it needs to be a 7 seater (the wife is pregnant with number 4!!!). Im tossing up between a 2008 mitsubishi pajero vrx or 2004 toyota prado grande. Both have similar klms.

Any help is appreciated.

You could just about pick up a Kia Carnival brand new for that.

Either that or you should be able to pick up a one or two year old Holden Captiva for a reasonable price. My folks picked a seven seater brand new from Heartland Holden at Penriff for $32.5K

Out of those two I'd take the Pajero if you must have a 4wd 7 seater. A mate of mine owns a Pajero and has nothing but positive things to say about it.

2nd hand Kluger mate - http://www.carsguide.com.au/buy-a-car?s=true&searchTypes=417&makes=492⊧=4294966773&priceTo=30000#searchTypes=417&makes=492⊧=4294966773&priceTo=30000

they are a quality ride, and 7 seater.

Kluger's aren't a bad option at all actually, I'd take one of those over a Captiva any day of the week. Had a Captiva at work and it spent more time being repaired than it did on the road.

You can't go wrong with a Toyota, mate - go for the Prado or the Kluger Underdog mentioned :stuck_out_tongue:

Captivas are AWD not 4wd if that is an issue and I was warned off them by just about everyone I spoke to

Can't go wrong with Toyota either Prado or Kluger

Ford territory's are also a good buy. They are AWD or RWD not 3WD if that is what you are after. They are also bigger than a captiva

Toyota 4WD's are pretty damn good and hold their value very well.

Get a diesel, and with 30k, you may as well shell out a little extra and get a brand spanking new one instead.
