Utai WOW

One word - FANTASTIC.

Over the last month (Warriors,Cowboys, Raiders and Storm) I would have him as consistently the best player in our side, and would be the player of the month if an award existed.

Tonight he was incredible, the metres he makes, particularly when under pressure, are amazing. No other player in our side I believe can make the metres he can with a hit up, Not Woods, not Ellis, not anybody, Masilla maybe, but not consistently over 80 minutes.

As far as Im concerned anyone picking any side for any match coming up soon has to have his name not just in the 17, but the 13\. Whether its Ayshford, Tuquiri, Moltzen or Reddy, 1-2 of these guys are going to have to make way for him cause he damn well deserves it.

Id go as far to say there are 5-6 names in this side who at full strength we must pencil in, and he's turning into one of them.

Plays himself into a new contract easily. Great go forward, heart of a lion

What about burrowing under for his try? He didn't even duck and the defender went over his head…...gotta love him

yes i think letting lote go will free up some coin to re-sign utai and a few young ones.

Yeah, didn't think I'd be agreeing with you, at certain stages last year, but he has just improved so much since then. His bad handling of last year seems to be a thing of the past now too.

Has probably been the 2nd best player on the field four weeks in a row and just keeps narrowly missing man of the match performances.

What's impressed me is he seems to have a level head, in his doggies days he would retaliate at some niggle n be penalized, these days he just gets in with the game n charges forward.

There was a time that it was the same story with Ryan as well. He hasn't put a toe nail wrong this yr. Playing like a man who knows his career is on the line and he's giving it his all and then some

One other thing I wold like to say is he did some 1% plays which saved us a few times. When Fulton got brushed off and they almost scored Utai was one of the guys who got back to help Ryan and make a try saver.

And then when Whiddop made a break and chipped over Ryan, it was Utai who got back to at least try to save it (Put the pressure on the storm player running through), which allowed Blair to kick it dead.

He's been great value. He comes cheaper than an apprentice hairdresser and gives it 100% and is extremely effective.

He's playing great. His runs help us so much in a game, he makes great metres. He constantly gets us on the front foot, and tires out the defense. For a winger, this is a great trait to have. He's fixed his high ball problems and has worked hard in defense.

Give him a man of match award we got him too cheap so he needs the coin. Must sign before lote.
