Sometimes these articles are nothing more than Holmes and his manager leaking this info to increase the Wests Tigers offer.

The strong wording suggests as much.

The Tigers come back with 50 to 100k more or that extra year in the contract and then he signs.

But Coote wants to move to sydney… Anyone feel another swap deal coming on? Cronulla are going to need experience in the back for their young spine. Coote might be excellent for them, another kicking option to help Moylan and Townsend out...

Coote seems an odd choice for Cronulla. They have a stack of Juniors and Moylan, Dugan, etc. They do seem to be an old players retirement home and if Coote comes at the right price, they will take him.

But if Coote comes at the right price, Why don't we take him? If we move Thompson to the wing and have MWZ or Fonua solid on the other flank, then we can get Coote setting up those tries. He probably has an Ivan connection too.
 
We DO NOT want Coote .. at 28 yrs he's washed up, too slow, bad knees, and besides he's not that good.
