I think the thing we need to fix immediately is the mentality of Marshall.
In 2010/2011, we had Lui. Whether you thought he was a good player or not, he was at least capable of running a game, calling shots from the play the ball, driving the team forward. This allowed Benji to play his natural game of thinking off the top of his head, looking for overlaps etc.
This season, Benji had all the responsibility of running the team. None of his halves partners ever had the confidence or the vision to drive the team forward, leaving Marshall to have to think about what was the best way to get metres every set. That kind of weight doesn't sit well with Benji, and the team sometimes lost its way or panicked when it didn't have to.
Find a stable halves partner, and most of the problems we had this season should be fixed.
