**NB: Change of venue for Wests Tigers from SCG to SFS.**

Think the SCG would only really work for a Sunday arvo game. If 9 picked the game for friday night it was probably a good move by the club to move it to the sfs. Still can't believe 9 wouldnt have it as the Sunday arvo game.

what happened to the SCG?

Led us on a dance all year and said dont worry wests we take all your players but we will compensate you with a wests heritage day at the scg.But when the reality of the day arrives yep wests miss out again.

No idea. It doesn't clash with any Swans games.

Once the 9 Network made the scheduling decision for Friday night it makes more sense for the SFS.

I am not sure if this is a club decision or a SCG Trust decision as the SCG is significantly more expensive to run for a night fixture.

Disgraceful. The club doesn't even have the decency to announce it themselves and leaves everyone to speculate on the reasons why the change has been made

Good work Mr Humprheys

I hope this is not a decision by Wests Tigers.

I think channel 9 wants to televise the game live as it should be a massive clash and a tv ratings bonanza. Is there a reason they can't play on the SCG on the Friday night?

Yep another one of Huphreys answers to HIS COMMENTS at agm where WESTS SIDE OF JV NEED MORE EXPOSURE take away from scg aswell as take all wests players and give them to not balmain but ryde eastwood a 0% shareholder of the jv.well done ****head. What has the guy done for us except totally blow our salary cap and lose a lot of wests players in the process.Gibbs.Fifita and nearly Fulton.

wether its on a Friday night or Sunday arvo it shouldn't matter. This is the second time this yr its happened, weren't they suppose to play the first game against Souths at the SCG? very dissapointing, and even more so if they don't give a reason as to why.The only excuse they can use is the Swans, but if they're not playing theres no excuse IMO.Pretty poor Mr Humphreys

The Souths game was never to be held at the SCG this season. It was always slated for the SFS.

The decision to play the game on a Friday night has nothing to do with the club and as I stated in a previous post it is significantly more expensive to run a night game at the SCG than at the SFS. So it may not have even been the clubs decision in that regard either but please feel fre to continue to speculate and fly off the handle.

Personally I would rather never have to go to a club game at the SCG. The place is rubbish to watch a game at.

The biggest problem I have is not with the venue change but with the change from the expected Sunday. It makes it alot harder for there to be a full house for laps of honour etc that should be taking place

No the souths game was scheduled for sfs this year unlike every other year when scheduled for scg to commemorate balmain.Yep played at scg every year not a problem.Very first year we commemorate Wests and bingo last minute change no scg game.

Yes i will be unavailable for a lap of honour now Smeg. Perhaps this Friday i could do a quick one before the game?
PS The SCG brings back the memories for a lot of hardened fans on all 3 clubs. But yes terrible to watch a game at.

Would prefer a Sunday game, but good news its at the SFS. The SCG is simply a terrible ground to watch football at, simple as that.

Smeg one problem with everything you just said,Humphreys simply rings the mug at nine married to leila mckinnon and request sunday game(As they have every time for balmain)this is a sunday game for sure.
The scg **[edited by mods]** compared to sfs for footy viewing but the nostalgia once a year at scg is superb.

I loved going to the SCG once. The first ever game I attended live was at the SCG. It was good to relive memories etc

But since than I have just felt ripped off at such a poor view

The Sunday game is 4th choice for TV.

If 9 passed on it for Friday you could guarantee it would have been a Monday night game as after the two Friday nighters Fox gets next pick for Monday. Its the reason why Dragons V Sea Eagles is Monday night this week as they held off in the hope of getting it for Sunday.

I think you'll find the anger towards the club is due to the lack of noise or communication out of Camp Concord. The game is a significant milestone in the history of this joint venture and for fans to find out via a media release from Channel Nine is poor form and terrible public relations from all involved
