Voting rites for members

Can anyone explain why Canterbury members get to vote their board and Chairperson in and out? Why are we not able to do this? Who are our board accountable to? Does anyone know?

Wests Tigers are a Joint Venture made up of 2 Foundation Clubs Wests Group and Balmain who elect the Board of the Wests Tigers…

If you want voting rights you need to join Wests Ashfield, WSDRLFC and Balmain RLFC wait 3 Years for voting rights to elect or oust their respective Board Members...

Canterbury work under a totally different charter...

Depends on clubs constitution.

Just like countries, state sovereignty. Some democratic, some not.

We arent members…merely season/part season/non ticketed, ticket holders.

I'm not sure Canturbury's structure holds them any more accountable. I haven't spoken to a Dogs fan this year who wanted to re-sign Hasler, but their board's backing him anyway.

But the talk is if the board keep Hasler they will be voted out by the members at end of this year. That's why there's so much pressure on Hasler - got nothing to do with footy results, the board will do whatever it needs to do to get re-elected.
