But even now when clubs put their requests in, it's still just part of the divvy-up that NRL does to try and fit in as many requests as possible, right?

Yep that is correct along with the games that are seen as better for TV audiences so we would play teams like Penrith, Parramatta, Souths and Manly twice every year.

Ok top 6 for bottom 12... who are the 2 teams in the cross over...only 16 in the comp

We are technically only 1 win out of the 8 with our bye coming up and only top teams we play next are manly and Panthers but have Broncos, Bulldogs twice, Cowboys, Warriors and Sharks winnable games if they really want it.

Love that someone finally noticed my mistake in the title. Top 6 and bottom 10. I realised just after id posted it but thought id wait to see if anyone noticed. Took 2 days hahah
