Anyone remember the old days when Wayne Pearce and Laurie Daley used to co-commentate games on Fox ???
What dribblers those two were !

Yep, they were bad. Daley was shocking. How he got a coaching job after that I will never know. Showed a complete lack of football intelligence.

Hey dont Matty Johns has his crew fill this void now ?
Different lot dribbling similar rubbish

He is good. So much better than channel 9\. I like Gould's analysis but that is about it from channel 9.

I had to swap from channel 9 to Fox last night.

I like Gus too, he is the only one i do take seriously, many here would laugh at me for doing that but he was a much better coach for NSW

It says a lot about where NSW are at with Laurie Daley at the helm

X 2 with that one!

Yes can be a little robotic in his calls but comes up with some good one liners. He gets more excited with tigers games as he was a wests magpie fan as a youngin.
One of my favorite lines and heard it a lot in 05 was 'the tigers score the first try and they will play from in front today/night

Interesting he was a magpie fan because he calls Wests Tigers Wests more than any commentator. Makes sense now. He is a great caller.

I think sugar cain could be groomed into a really good commentator. His odd little bits he does now are very good, but Smith and Voss are miles in front of anyone else. Just hate channel nine with a passion

I had to watch it on 9 last night and they really are abysmal that channel 9 team… Towards the end of the game Gould and Rabs were discussing Rabs being 73 yrs old and Gus carrying on telling Rabs that he "loved" him. Really?? Is it that hard just to call the game without all the dribble they go on with?

Brett Kenny was just astonishlingly bad when he used to commentate for Fox he sounded like a bloke that had been repeatedly beaten around the head with a house brick.
Got me beat how he had the brains to put his mouthguard in as a player.

Having to deal with Hadley on Thursday was torture.

Hopefully the ratings Fox is getting will make Nine review its lineup for 2017\. Makes them accountable for a change.

Social media blew up on Thursday night. The commentary was that bad, so they say.

On Warren Smith, one of his best one-liners was "All aboard, tickets please - for the Hayne train!"

Yep Warren Smith was definitely a Balmain fan, a few years ago on Fox they showed a clip of him at the '89 major semi between Balmain v Souths and he was in the crowd going nuts when Bruce McGuire scored the match winner.

He tells the story that he called in sick for work that day only for his boss to be watching the footy on TV and notice Smithy in the crowd , he was 100% Balmain fan

Fox 9

No comparison.

Only downside is Braith Anasta.

That is some down side!!!!!

upsets me massively my brother
but it's still better than the 9 crew

9 had Vossy (awesome) and did him wrong,
Fox gets Vossy - win.
