Warriors Vs Storm

All they had to do was kick the ball on the 5th tackle 1 week ago and thats us tonight celebrating

Im going for Manly Id hate if a team that finishes 6th got smashed got a 2nd chance and fluked a win against us go on to win it all

Nothing wrong with the system mate. Only 2 teams get elliminated in the first week. That same 6th placed that got smashed by 30 then beat us the following week. Look at it another way. Tigers had the easisest semi against the 6th placed side that got smashed the week before so on paper the system favoured us. We lost. There are no guarantees and just shows you cant take any NRL game for granted. If results went against the warriors they wouldnt have even been there, but you have to win the games that count.

I'm as disappointed by the loss as anyone. I flew 14 hours to be at the SFS and had my hands in my head afterwards, but that's footy. :neutral_face:

Good post mate….tough way to end the season for you, we only had an hours drive home in comparison

Tigers only have to do ONE thing to stop being dumb, and thats when you have a lead in the 2nd half you change your game, Do this and we will go undefated in 2012

If it makes you feel any better, guys, I don't think you can compare. Just because the Warriors won tonight it doesn't mean we would have. In fact, I'm pretty sure we wouldn't have, due to our inability to close out close games! The Warriors showed us tonight what we should've done to them last week.

Ah well looking forward to the game next week anyway. No Lockyer wankfest all week, no Storm cheats. Hope Warriors can do it.
 
Rather impressed with the warriors tonight. Reckon if we were there the upset was on the cards. Melbourne had no answers.

Interesting stat: including the manly game, when Melbourne had only won one game in four (against Newcastle in week one) without Adam Blair. They missed him tonight.

Dubai. I was in town for a friends wedding so i didn't go just for the game though i would have if they made the Gee-fa.
 
The Warriors were really good, especially in the 2nd half, as Sterlo said, he had never seen a Warriors side be so polished and I have to agree. I hope they beat the Eagles.

I fully agree. Only thing is I hate Manly that much I would rather see the underdogs get up.
 
Just a quick question for all those who are upset at the Warriors making the grand final.

If we change to the AFL system and team 4 get pumped by 40 points in week one, comes back and makes it to the Grand Final would that system then have to be scrapped as well.

Personally I don't mind the system the way it is, it's no perfect but no system is.
 
I was surprised at how well the Warriors played last night, they are peaking at the right end of the season. The storm certainly missed Blair last night.
 
seriously, who would sit there and go for Manly,of all teams just because you're not a fan of a finals system? :crazy
