Dwyer made contact with the head yes.
Every time all year contacts been made with the head its a penalty.
My point is the refs inconsistency yet again is the highlite.
The refs lost the plot at the end

This. I can't help but think if it was a noted thug who made the tackle (Matai, Watmong, 4.5 Litres, Legion of Doom, Morley, etc) it would've been called back.

in a regular season game it would have been given as a penalty… but no way in hell was the Vid ref going to overrule that 20m righ in front with 40secs to go.... but anyway by god it looked great when it happened regardless of it being high

that media clown ray hadley commented that in any other game it would have been a penalty, duh. the best hit of the year and there is no way that should have been a penalty. does dwyer remove his arm from the shoulder so as not to hit a falling player ! everyone knows that in semi's there is more latitude in offsides etc, although hayne did pick up one tigers forward pass and missed the three that the roorters threw in front of bay 14\. i just hope dwyer lays a few more on some raiders this friday

Despite all the arguments about the Simon Dwyer tackle (and I thought it was the hit of the year), the fact is there should never have been a scrum set. After the tackle the ball came loose and Dwyer picked up the ball cleanly and ran up field with it. Therefore it should have been play on and the Wests Tigers would have had possession. Hayne got that wrong too.

you my friend are 100% correct.
even after the replays, i was thinking why the hell is a scrum being packed.
still, why didnt farah feed the scrum normally thru the 2nd rows legs and picked it up instead of heighno trying to waste 2.5 secs and attempting to keep it in the scrum.
that was the worst scrum ever. the roosters front rower basically packed into our 2nd row.

That was a huge hit. JWH was running with his head in front of his body slightly bent forwards, putting himself in a position where he could get hit high. It was one of those calls that could go either way, though I always favour the defending team in this situation.

I think Dwyers shoulder glanced off the ball.

The VR looked at it very closely and I don't think that should ever be a penalty. They have sanitised our game enough

The amount of times the video ref looked at it is unlikely any charge will be made against Dwyer. It was a fantastic hit and should have won us the game.

To his credit, JWH said on Fox that he didn't think it was high, just a great shot.
He does niggle, but at least he can cop the hit of the century and not cry about it.
