He’s the type of player you need in a squad. Will bust his gut for the team, is solid in any grade, knows he isn’t going to demand big coin so will go where he is happy and has an opportunity.

I’ve heard our coaching staff love him because he is one of the fittest in the club.

Love these type of players, no nonsense grind, might not make highlight reels, but puts the team first

A depth signing perhaps

I think there might better quality options that we can look at as consistent first grade players come available

Yeah, a year or two extension perhaps, hopefully we can acquire some backs with real speed

Agree ink. We need someone on the park with some speed.

What are these kinds of players worth? I’d assume he’s on $150k? If so I’d bump him 50k and offer him two more years.

A solid player. I don't mind him. But unfortunately we need to put some money out for some serious pace.

Don't forget that we signed Mahe Fonua who was named in the 2016 Super League Dream Team and has been playing extremely well in the ISP so far. He's fast, he's strong. No doubt about it that he's a beast.

He is a beast but every time he takes a hit-up I am just waiting for the ball to pop out. His ball security isn't great which can heap pressure on your team when it happens in your own red zone.

MWZ is what I'd call a tradesman - solid, no frills footballer. He is worth keeping for his attitude and consistency but he lacks top end speed. We need a bit of x factor in our side which is why he and other tradesmen are replaceable.

We need him in our squad, he’s here because he’s passionate & wants to play ball. In his video about coming back to the NRL, you can tell just how much he regretted not staying in footy when he was younger. Great boost if we re-sign him.

The talk about culture around the place is exactly what MWZ is about. He puts the team before everything else, is solid and dependable, and even if he wasn't playing first grade, he would be busting his backside to get in there, therefore making sure his replacement knows he has to put in.
Keep him here with a few more years and a bit more cash.
