**Watts accused of biting opponent's penis**
Former NRL bad boy Anthony Watts is in hot water yet again after he allegedly bit another player on the penis during a match on the Gold Coast.
News Limited reported that officials are examining video from the preliminary final between Watts' Tugun side and Bilambil, despite the player who was allegedly bitten not making an official complaint.
The Bilambil player failed to make a written complaint about the alleged bite in the 30-minute window after the match in which he could do so.
Officials were first notified about the incident after a first-half melee, started by Watts when he pushed an opposing Bilambil player.
The GCRL will trawl through vision of the brawl, and can still yet lay charges if it believes there is sufficient evidence. If found guilty, Watts would almost certainly miss Tugun's grand final against Southport.
"The player hasn't wanted to follow through with the allegation but the league will be reviewing the incident," a GCRL spokesman said.
"The league's executive officials will have further discussions and follow the correct procedure."
It is understood that Balambil officials support the review of the footage.
The GRLC will be relying on video footage to lay a charge against Watts, but will find it hard without a supporting statement as only one camera is used to record Bycroft Cup games.
Watts had a troubled 52-match NRL career with Cronulla and North Queensland. He was set to play for the Sydney Roosters before being hit with an assault charge against his girlfriend.
