Wayne Cousins Leaving

if we get them before 5pm i'm happy about the change.

How will his leaving speed up the coaching staff in finalising the team list?

The only way it would is if Cousins was currently being handed the team list at ~3pm and then fart arsing for a few hours before deciding to get it up on the site.

Is that a believable scenario to you? I mean I know its a pain waiting for it to come out, but think things through, if the coaching staff still take their time a new media guy won't change anything.

The bloody telegraph filled us in on more stories than Wayne Cousins ever did. The only story I can truly remember was his "the night I danced in the rain" article, which in hindsight, was a one-nighter.

Can't really remember something positive he tossed up this year apart from that.

Mayer has been asked on radio about why we are always the last club to release our team list. His response was clubs have until 6pm to release them to the NRL & we have never missed the deadline once. Also he said by being the last club to release them it creates more hits on the website waiting for team list to be released.

To be serious 2SM Talkin sport gave him a massive rap….they said some clubs are very difficult to work with and reticent to provide much info.

Our media guys have kept us fans in the loop thru the media with good stories and bad...it is one area were very very good at, promoting the club and getting publicity.

it's funny, I used to hang out for the team list, refreshing the site every few minutes
