We are deservedly angry... lets turn frustration into action!

I initially thought how ridiculous allowing the captains challenge was, but then I watched the replay and thought....great! video ref will see all is fine and put an end to this lunacy....then Klein makes the most obviously wrong call I have ever seen to kill off our chances of winning our 3rd one point thriller this season.

I mean, what on earth is wrong with these idiots? You clearly saw Kepaoa was barged into by Feldt...he didn't even see it coming and definitely wasn't braced for contact. It was crystal clear.

No one will overturn this result and I just hope the players don't drop their heads and lose motivation against Brisbane after 2 narrow losses in 2 weeks.
Klein has the I.q of a gnat. Don't reckon he will be any where near the bunker for the rest of the year. The nrl know he screwed up royally. It boggles my mind how players can perform the most obvious milking for a penalty yet the idiot referees buy it. Absolute morons.

Wrong , his tab account membership counts ,are you a member

From what I've seen and read you can not make a captain's challenge on something no referee ruling was even made on.

As soon as Laurie was touched by the opposition player the game was over.

Everyone *EVERYONE* knows it was the wrong call on two fronts (wasn't even an escort) and the nrl should reverse the result and award the two points to the tigers.

For those who scoff and say it'll never happen, they have taken half a season's points off Melbourne, stripped them of 2 premierships, taken 37 points off Canterbury in 2002, penalised Cronulla and I think Parramatta similarly as well in the past.

This is only 2 points and is simply the right thing to do.
None of those were ref's decisions.... Magpies lost a point in the 70s when they had a draw with the dogs... They used an illegal replacement.. Mick Luibinskas

Something to consider.
How much revenue does the NRL derive from the gambling industry?
Is it reasonable to believe that the weight of money wagered, on one result or another, might influence that result?
If the NRL were to reverse the onfield decision, what would they do to compensate betting agencies for their losses?

You go on to NRL. Com and there is basically no mention of the farcical call. They have the most controlled media outside North Korea. Nothing will happen except a long winded explanation how Klein came to make a technical wrong call.

Sadly the NRL is one big gravy train that has zero interest in the welfare of the game and most of the clubs

If true that the ref didn't blow the full time whistle then let's move on. If in fact the full time whistle was blown, then we may have a case.
Think the argument was even though he blew the whistle the ref never said game over. If iv understood correctly, then the degenerate muppets in nrl hq are already clutching at straws.

I used to like matty john's, I watched the late night with Matt john's last night and all he said was that the teams in form always get the rub of the green. It blew my mind then dawned on me.
Foxtel are the nrl main provider for people at home, it's in their interest for their revenue to keep people switched on. The nrl need foxtel to promote the game into people's homes, but with out the nrl foxtel probably wouldn't exist, people speculate that superleague was only started so Murdoch could get league on pay telly, his advisers told him if he didn't have league pay telly in Australia wouldn't work.
My point being foxtel and the nrl have a symbiotic relationship they need each other to thrive to generate revenue. Iv got no doubt last night nrl hq called execs at foxtel telling the guys on the couch not to probe into it too much till the nrl deal with it in the morning. To save embarrassment. Iv lost all respect for matty john's that just shows he's a shill with no integrity.
I'm dying to see how Kent on 360 goes tonight, if he rips in ill gain so much respect for him cause Iv got no doubt there will be pressure from above to give it a small mention and move on. If the panel just bypass it then it proves they have no integrity and are just mouth pieces for the execs at nrl and foxtel hq who are paying their bills

Strangely 99% of yesterdays audience saw Deardon deliberately poke a player in the eye but Klein/bunker did not see it. At the conclusion of the game 99% of the audience did not see Kapoa change his line but Klein/bunker did see it. Go figure.

You have to signal full time, there's a sign for it. If he didn't do the sign then we got no legs to stand on.
He blew his whistle... I think a stop play type whistle... One quick blast.... Full time game over whistle usually a bit longer and he then spreads both arms out wide
It's all still very grey thou.... It seems like Klein was in his ear immediately to stop play and advise the captains they're looking at something

I think even the whistle is pointless from memory- it's the sign. Same as 6-again sign, try sign etc. The ref can "accidentally" blow the right type of whistle but unless there is a sign, it's all moot. The ref has to do that sign where he crosses his hands and spreads them apart.

Incompetence, ref bias, overreliance on technology, whatever it is- it's pretty bad. I'm just glad it happened to us in a year that doesn't count so that we can whinge about it to the ref next year when it may actually count.

Don't be too kind to Kent. The outrage is good for fox subscriptions.

Oh they'll definitely rip in on 360. This is not to say that any of them particularly cares for Tigers, it's to say they can easily get 2 weeks of content out of this story, so it does them no good to hose the story down.

For once, Fox is going to lobby and dramatise this match in the Tigers' favour, but only for their own content and fan engagement purposes.

I don't envy him. The best defence I've read is "the NRL are reportedly arguing the referee blew one whistle and it was not considered the full-time whistle."

Sooooo....Rule change effective immediately:
Following each blow of the whistle, the designated captain of each team must approach the referee to ascertain the referee's thoughts about how it should be interpreted by all players.

Should speed the game up and provide clarity. I think it's already in place in the nfl...
We should get 5 whistles, one for each captain.
What irks me is as soon as they know they have stuffed up they pull the shutters down.
Why cant they say, we have had another look and got it wrong, I'm changing my decision..... what's wrong with that?
The bunker took little time to make a decision on the most important play of the game.
They didn't use all the angles, little slow mow and commonsense.
