We need a captain

Mbye is an enigma. He’s the captain, but he gets shopped around. He’s an origin player but he has no set position.

There is no one in this entire team I would rate as a legitimate leader ... Mbye is not a captains boot lace / Benji is Benji / Reynolds is the only one at this stage I would have the C next to , he wants to win , he has drive to win , he will get in your face to lift !
This is another reason why the clubs culture is so bad ..take the C off Mybe and put him in the for sale bin I

Maybe the coach knows best? He sees more of the players than anyone and he’s regarded as one of the toughest coaches around. Clearly Mbye has done enough to earn the role, we only see a fraction of what they do so how can we judge.

I see what’s happening on the field no talk no drive .. nuff said !

Even as a youngster i remember a relo of mine who goes for the Dogs telling me how good he was and me telling him Moses shat all over him. Funny how things work out. Nevertheless an abhorent signing by Cleary for the money. Like i said elsewhere, your highest paid players need to be matchwinners, not spectators, and unfortunately Mbye is the latter.

Further to my post above, if premierships were won on nice people we would be in the box seat with Mbye, but unfortunately they arent.

In one incident last week, I can’t recall exactly what it was about but there was a call that seemed dodgy and possibly warranted a challenge, anyway the player involved went straight to Benji not Mbye, to me it seemed like Benji was thought of as more of a captain.
It just made me question if the players see him as the captain.

All good points .... if he was our highest paid player and he wasn’t recruited to play fullback , but is now playing centre. Seriously what are you watching ? His defence in the 3 is perfect . We need to find a way for him to get involved in attack . It’s the same for Joey.

Mbye is not a terrible player. It's the pricing that sets me off. He should be on no more than $400k.

No he's not a loudmouth but he's the only person we've got for the job right now.
Talk of him being a dud, our worst player or getting shopped around are just plain rubbish.
Take a long look at our backline if you believe that.

He was recruited by Judas to play the 1. The club decided to listen to that piece of work , and he screwed the club . Mbye when his current deal runs out will drop to the 400k value he is truely worth. He’s only on 650k now , so I don’t know what the issue is. He’s not on 800k . Go back and. Look at the figures thrown around when he signed .
