We need to look at our backline

_we need to have a look at this it is getting really bad right now IMO we only have 2 people that deserve a spot there and it is\
\
1\. Tedesco
2\. Koroibete
3.
4.
5.\
\
We have two center positions and one wing position vacant next year Nofoaluama will come through hopefully grabbing a first grade spot which will make it\
\
1\. Tedesco
2\. Koroibete
3.
4.
5\. Nofoaluama\
\
That is more speedy and a better backline now we have two centers Ayshford and Lawrence both out of form. We should have a look at centers from other clubs in my opinion the best quality centers out there and are cheap are Jack Reed for Brisbane, Jacob Loko from Eels and Dylan Farrell from Souths. So if we can get this for 2014 it would be great:\
\
1\. Tedesco
2\. Koroibete
3\. Farrell
4\. Loko/Reed
5\. Nofoaluama\
\
Many of you are going to say "who should we sign next week" or "we need props more than centers" and even "Stupid thread" but the truth is changes need to be made. I don't care how many players we need to cut we need changes and if we are going to stick with what we have right now don't even think about winning a g/f._

Don't think any of those 5 can tackle, throw Marshall and miller in the mix and that side would get beat by 50 every week .

Moltzen deserves his spot so far this year. Probably the only player who has made progress under Potter so far from the squad last year (Blair too until last night I suppose).
Long term you'd be looking at Koro/Nofo/Tedesco though as our back three.
Thought you were a big fan of Rory Brien BM?

To quote everyone's favorite tiger, YOURE OFF YOUR HEAD.

We don't need to buy centres, we won the u18s, u20s and GF for reserve grade so there's tonnes of talent coming up in the back line. Young forward packs tend to struggle in the NRL which is why we need to buy probably just ONE great prop, another aaron woods or second row equivalent, and they get injured more (as you can see….).

I agree with 1\. Teddy, 2\. Koro, but the back line you posted is far too inexperienced right now and in one year. Ayshford is dead set to stay at the centres, he is a solid centre. Most centres in ANY team are not top try scorers or anything like that. I'd say Brien at the other centre and Moltzen the other wing.

1\. Teddy
2\. Koro
3\. Ayshford
4\. Brien
5\. Moltzen

With koro injured put reddy in.

Nofo, Big T and people like that will come mid next year and onwards with injuries and retirements/player movements etc.

n.b. i moved koroibete from 5 to 2 as that means ayshford stays at 3 and brien at 4 which are their preferred sides i believe and means that we dont have a whole side full of inexperience. Also, ayshford would probably be better able to draw and pass than brien in my opinion.

Way too early to get worked up. I think we have two major issues - our second row and our halves. Benji is fine but Miller may not get there. He might as well. Prop at the moment is a problem but mainly because Galloway is injured.

After that we need to beef up our 2nd row. Blair to me is showing that when he is played as a 3rd prop from lock he goes well. I think we need more impact from our 2nd row out wide though.

I'd like to see a speedier backline and Marshall and whoever else is in the halves running it more.

100 % but we don't have anyone to replace them.

We have won these comps with very good spines Yes the backs may have scored many points , but they are playing outside 4-5 of the best junior halves in the country

What about Tim Simona at centre? He goes well and is more experienced than Brien at this stage.

I think their size is a problem. Simona and Brien are not very big but have been playing well.
Need to do something because the current 1st graders know they are not going to get dropped.

Yes I am a fan of Brien but he has been quiet lately. I don't see where the in-experience comes in here:

1\. Tedesco- 2 games
2\. Koroibete- 9 games
3\. Farrell- 58 games
4\. Reed- 52 games
5\. Nofoaluama- 0 games

If Koro plays every game from round 8 that will be about 27 games to his name. and if Teddy plays the rest of the season that would be 24 games to his name. No in-experience.

Have you checked to see if Reed and Farrell are even off contract?

Why is everything italicised?
Is every word you've written deserving of some _emphatic_ love?

Haha, was wondering this also.

Another logical thread.
Why don't we just replace every one?
2014 Tigers
1\. Slater
2\. Perret
3\. Hodges
4\. Inglis
5\. Merret

Anyways on topic.
Jack Reed sucks imo. Tim Lafai > Jack Reed
More realistic chance of happening also.
Be serious now.

No school today, any more wacky ideas?
