We Should Re Sign Tim Moltzen

I feel for Moltz …... When he decided to shun the dragons , it was to play in the halfs at WTs

Then dominos start falling .....

All of a sudden , we have a number of real contenders lining up for a position in the halves ( sirro , humble , miller )

Moltz is at the back playing well , but the prospect of Tedesco returning means he could find himself struggling for a start next year .....

Would I resign him ....... Although i value him highly..... If tedesco is fit and ready for next year .... Moltz could end up being and expensive bench warmer ...... So no . Tough call but no .

Moltzen is a very handy player, Tedesco will probably take a few games to come back in the lower grades & regain his confidence, in the meantime Moltzen can cover for him or cover @ half or where ever a very handy player in my opinion.

Sheens obviously believes Tedesco has what it takes to make the grade ..these types of players have a personality and drive that will walk himself straight back to fullback 1st game of the season. I still have no real thoughts on this young fella as I haven't really seen him play except for a few 20's games ,in reality he might not make the grade anyway .But he will start at fullback if fit.

I think our best combination next year is:

1\. Beau Ryan (having Beau play full back means we can put both our very good 20's wingers into the NRL side)/ James Tedesco (may take a while to recover fully but he is a very talented player)/ Moltzen/ Ruldoph

6\. Sironen/ Anasta/ Mitchell Moses (by late next year he may be ready he is going to be very good)

7\. Benji/ Moltzen/Humble (doubt miller will be here next year )

9 Farah

13 Anasta

14 Moltzen/ Humble

If Moltzen is prepared to be our utility I think it is worth while keeping him and I think he could become one of the best utility players in the NRL.

For mine keeping him depends on the money, if he wants a big contract let him go but on the right money he is a handy player to have in the squad. I just can't see him starting next year apart from injuries but he would be my bench utility player every week.

Keeping on the Subject:
YES YES YES and YES!

Has talent to burn and wants to play for the Tigers! That in itself is something we need to reward.

IMHO,

1 Tedesco/Rudolph/Rowe/Ryan (I prefer specialist full back)

2 Ryan/Utai

3 Ashyford/Reddy/Fine

4 Lawrence/Reddy/Simona

5 Koroibete/Nafoalauma

6 Sironen/Anasta/Marshall-Jordan

7 Marshall/Miller/Moltzen

13 Anasta/Bell

14 Utai/Iosefa/Humble/Moltzen

So we keep him to be third string half-back or fourth choice utility?

MOLTZEN CHATS WITH …

It might have just been a social chat but off-contract Tiger Tim Moltzen was spotted deep in conversation with Parramatta recruitment manager Peter Nolan at the Eels-Cronulla game on Monday night. Just sayin'.

Beau at fullback? He is a finisher for try's and u want him to stay at fb? Moltz is getting better and better. He is going alright. Give him another month and he will be on fire. We won 6 with him there. So he can't be that bad. Doing good job so far

If moltzen plays in Friday I have no doubts we lose. No way in hell he would have caught all those bombs that beau did.

If Moltzen signed with Parra, that would be a massive LOL for me. Would fit right in

But what about if he signs with Parra for say 3 years and then changes his mind after a few weeks and doesn't want to go and gets a shoulder injury ?

Seems weird they're looking at signing players when it's apparent the same coach won't be there next year…
