I don’t think it was so much us finding a way to win as the Dragons found a way to lose.

There were lots of positives but there is also a lot to correct or we’ll get touched up next week.

Yeah I tend to agree more with this. Some really good signs, but we should have lost that game. If the Dragons don’t miss a couple of absolute sitters of opportunities then we were in trouble.

Maybe if that poor excuse for a footballer, we have on the left wing, can catch and hold a ball, that would have negated a couple of the opposition missed chances.

Maybe but it’s more about the fact we gave them chances.

We made a lot of stupid errors and put ourselves under more pressure than we needed to be. The way the Dragons opened us up a number of times despite having no ball In the second half is still a worry.

I think you’ll find the wing position will change once Mbye or Momirovski are fit/available anyhow.

A couple of really bad miss tackes by Benji late has me wondering if he has 80 mins in him.

That is a fair comment and with better execution in the last 10 minutes dragons score twice going through Benjis position.He is still a gifted player and was magnificent yesterday but age has slowed him down, he needs a minder in defence

I actually think the second one forced the error from Frizell with his positioning in between him and the support players.

Agree. He tried his guts out but Frizell was absolutely gassed and miscalculated.

That's one thing I noticed about BJ, once the break was made he stopped running, and left it a 4 on 2. Now if the play broke down a different way and not on a forward pass there would have been no defender, whereas the only other Tiger tracking back to make the tackle was Taylor. I thought that was poor attitude.

Secondly, There was no way any fullback would've done better on the dragons' first try. Freak bounce caught everybody off guard. I personally thought they were lucky to get the penalty try because everyone had run past the ball after it bounced. Their second try??? nobody can say anything about it apart from a bad mistake.

Agree on your first, but not second point. Attitude/fitness for BJ but Marshall was key at shutting down both the plays really , on his own without assistance from Thommo.

As I’ve said, he obviously tries his guts out but both efforts *can* be classed as failures in the 1.

People are using round one and the wetness as an excuse (somewhat rightly so) but to be serious considerations come September time this year - you need to practise accountability.

The way he knocked the ball on that led to the try, nowhere to hide on that one. In conditions like that he probably should've gone straight, changed the angle nice and simple. But he jinked and weaved and the ball popped out.

But man, the bounce on that first try was unreal. If it keeps the straight line or comes his way from the angle Thompson was running at it it's covered, but that bounce was something else. Push or not I doubt that Ravalawa grounds the ball either. Dragons were lucky that Thompson made contact.....

But healthy debate is always welcomed!!!!

Made borderline stupid mistakes, Jennings VERY unlucky not to grab one with the one handed take... if he goes with two hands then I think there’s a good chance he’s bundled out.

So really only Corey could be criticised especially given his miss on Bent Unt that caused so much chaos late in the game and gave them a sniff.

The first error, he is copping heaps for, yet Garner, who missed the original tackle on Ravalawa upfield doesn't hardly even get a mention for his mistake. If he makes the tackle - Thomo is home free.

The other thing I noticed in that same try - Garner in a 60 metre chase after Ravalawa beat Jennings to our try line.

A winger that is super quick, super fit this year - that can't beat a second rower...Sheeesh!!!!!

I can't ...your being super lenient .....simply hit the gap and work for a quick play the ball ...if he was Michael Hancock who was just so strong I could deal with him stepping on a dime but he's not and gets easily dominated

I don’t think you can blame that first try on anyone - about 5 of our players all ran completely past the ball Garner was the only one smart enough to hang back just couldn’t make the tackle. All round it was pretty bad

Thompson could've scored a try after his first half, and people wouldn't move past his knock on.....I have to say I would be the same if I'm honest and i am a big CT fan.....very interesting point you make
