We will only get better- Next Year

WOW! What a game our boys put up today, next year we will only improve welcoming the likes of:

Marika Koroibete
Luke Brooks
Aaron Woods
Pat RIchards
Corey Paterson
Dene Halatau
Blake Austin

Either back or into the team. We put up a fight today and can only see us improving for next year.
 
Yeah there is no doubt. There will probably be another player or 2 who step up unexpectedly as well. A lot of work to be done to be competitive but we will press for a top 8 spot.

I think tonight showed that we are still a way behind the top teams. However there was plenty of good signs and most of them were supplied by the young brigade.
 
You forgot one name Coach Potter the guy that will bring the best out of these young guys ,it's been on show for weeks now.
 
Even I am slightly optimistic for next year. Still not convinced that Potter has the tactical nuous to succeed. But happy to be proven wrong.

We played better than I expected tonite but I have a few queries.

1\. After getting to 18-0, why did we stop playing football, I did not expect to win but geez the first 15 min we were throwing the ball around and when big Sammy came back on after the sin bin we shut up shop.

2\. The anasta field goal in the 39th minute on the 4th tackle. I have seen so many times this type of negative play come back and hurt a team….instead of maybe putting pressure on Souths or trying to score a try Souths got easy possession and scored 1 minute later.... I wish I had a $ for every time I've seen these types of turning points.

3\. The ruck and Isaac Luke.....he killed us tonite, had a hand in at least 3 tries.....fulton was missed in this area towards the end of the night and it showed....need to fix this asap.

4\. Missed one on one tackles almost always resulted in a try tonite......what can one say.

And the worst of all.....the dumb penalties we continually give away...its like were not happy tackling the opposition in their half...instead we invite them into ours cheaply...farah X2 should know better. Their were some poor ref decisions tonite as well against us but it doesn't help when you add to the problem.

Apart from that there were a number of positives tonite....tonite was a good loss
 
Agree with southerntiger. Don't think Potter is the right coach for us. Can't say their was much coaching the 2nd half tonight. Aim up Potter!
 
Very very impressed with Teddy and Nofalima the last few weeks.

Simona next year will be a sensation as will Masila and Sironen so we have a lot to look forward too.

The Anasta field goal attempt was dumb, dumb, DUMB! Please do not pick him next year!

Also Benji's kick out on the full (AGAIN) when he wasn't even under pressure gifted them field position and inspiration when the opposite should have been applied.
