Apologies in advance if this isn't the correct place for this discussion but just wanted a bit of help from those who have kids playing or are involved in junior footy. Can anyone advise what the go is with cancelations of jr comps when it's been raining. Is this a decision made by the individual comp districts or is the councils concerned for their precious turf?
I cannot believe with a winter sport rain causes so many cancelled weekends. My son is in his second year and from 4 rounds 2 have been called off already and it's still Autumn. I grew up in the uk and have played and spectated in rain, snow and hail i find it a bit baffling.

Get used to it mate.
Usually the councils have their own poxy criterias. canad bay has a freeking points system :unamused:
Seriously!

Some clubs like ours rely on school grounds and you have principals with agendas also calling the shots.
Balmain JRL has several verry green councils that think footy fields should look nice rather than be utilised by children negating obesity and keeping fit.
Most Sydney districts are wash outs yet again, which club you with?
