i am very worried that we might have to play melbourne in melbourne in week 3 of the finals. we need one of the away teams to win this weekend

i think we can step up and beat any team any where and if we cant then we dont deserve to win the comp
but yeah….
:sign:

i am confident we can beat any team in sydney. i would rather us play manly in sydney instead of brisbane in brisbane or melbourne in melbourne

If Cows win tonight, Storm and Broncs will host the GF qualifiers.

Both VERY tough places to win at.

exactly :frowning:

I don't want to sound like a traditionalist etc, but GF qualifers should be in Syd and nowhere else.

We may well have to go to Melb, to play on a 'non' footy field…in a city where no one cares...and a trip so far that will mean 99% of our supporters can't go.

If Melbourne wins were on their side of the draw, so we play Manly at ANZ or Brisbane and Brisbane

are you sure???

i thought if melb, manly, brisbane win this weekend then we play nz in sydney next week and the winner of that plays melb in melb in week 3

If Top 4 win
Round 2 - Tigers v Warriors
Broncos v Dragons

Week 3 -Melbourne vs us or Warriors in Melbourne at Etihad Stadium.

Yeah, but look at 2009, when you had a GF qualifier between Melbourne and Brisbane. Who in Sydney would give a stuff about that? Especially when you had Parra/Dogs the night before (which 75k attended). If you're good enough over 26 rounds to put yourself in a position where you can earn a week off I think you deserve a home prelim. Lets say the Prelims are Melbourne vs Tigers and Broncos vs Dragons. Is it really fair that the higher ranked teams over 26 rounds, and the 2 teams that earned themselves a week off have to travel to their opposition's home ground for their prelims? Prelims played at Suncorp and AAMI will sell out.
