We came 4th and 3rd respectively the last two seasons, right? Okay, at this stage in the past 2 seasons, our record was, wait for it….4 wins and 5 losses, yes you heard it right 4 wins and 5 losses. What's our record now, 4 wins and 5 losses.

Did we look like a premiership contender at either stage in the past 2 seasons? No. Did we develop into one in both seasons. Yes. Why? Because we hit our straps at the right time of the year like all good teams do!

People have also questioned the credibility of our wins being against lowly teams, last year at the same stage we'd beaten Ca :sign: nberra twice who were coming last, Souths who were in the bottom 8 somewhere and the Warri

who were in the bottom 8 somewhere.

2010, we'd beaten Manly who were in the eight somewhere, Eels who were in the bottom 8 somewhere, Canberra who were in the bottom 8 somewhere and Cowboys who were coming last, none were exactly 'high calibre' teams at that point in time either.

We didn't win a premiership either of those years???

Got nothing to do with winning premierships, just noting that we were in the mix come finals time after being in similar position the last 2 years.

Dragons lost to Penrith who we held scoreless. Titans beat the doggies. I honestly don't see how we are that badly off? As above posters said we lost by sfa against broncos and manly. We lift against top teams or maybe they drop against us 😛
I don't expect us to get smashed by Melbourne either assuming we continue on the up over the next few games…

Ink if u recall the tigers were fuddled by refs through that game, so we won it sweet, plus just on the ref blunder at end of that game, it didn't cost the sharks points, it cost them a scrum! They may not have won anyway

Err they shouldve had a penalty on our line….a touchy and ref was sacked ....it was a massive call that benefited us...open ur eyes, we got lucky

But yeh as long as we make the eight, even if we play crap all year long....how goods that>?
It would be good to get there on merit....some may only see the final scoreline, some though appreciate good football and hard earned wins.

Good to see the touchy was sacked, hopefully it was the same one that missed the forward pass that led to the Sharks first try. The Sharks were "lucky" that the game even went to extra time off a call that wasn't made… Swings and roundabouts.

If we play crap all year long and beat performing teams that says more about them than it does us. It's a worry that we can't string 80 minutes together on a regular basis, but it's a bigger worry for the opposition if we can only turn up for a collective 10-20 minutes and still walk away victors (as it was nearly proven with the Parra game.)

We didn't play the Pamfers, we played half the Windsor Wolves side and the Titans were missing Zillman & Prince.

We were in the Manly game the whole way though and we were horrid. That says more about Manly than us.

I love how the guy who is saying this bullshit name is Goose. Goose by name, goose by nature. Tigers should only be on 2 wins face it, the only thing that will be stopping the tigers from getting the spoon is Parramatta.

The reason the brisbane game and manly game looked so good was because both teams were busted like us at the current time and it made for a great game of football.

No hodges wallace for brisbane and no foran and williams for manly and if memory serves me correct they all played against us!!!

My point being is Manly aint going to flash either but it was a good game to watch.

2nd example Is the ANZAC day clash Fagons and Rorters now that has to be the game of the season so far but where are both teams on the ladder???

Pffft Up the Tigers we will come good and when we do I say watch out every one else, we are coming to get ya!!!!!

Don't forget some of the international players that have missed considerable game time for us - Farah, Galloway, Tuquiri, Ellis, Heighnington. Some pretty handy players there and not so easy to replace.
I've been barking on about this since round 2\. Whilst we haven't been playing well, we've had to manage some considerable hurdles. Instead of being constantly critical I'm actually quite proud the way we have come through this rough patch and all I can see is the Tigers only getting better.

I'd say the most damning stat is the one Hybrid came up with. In those yrs we had a halfback, this yr we don't

They did slow us down in the play the ball and get away with to many but we did get lucky.

It would be nice to win a few convincingly and play our best footy.Even against penrith we didnt play 80min
