**Welcome Back my Friends to the show that never ends…..The SideShow Lote Show**

Another early morning…Another Lote headline......will he , won't he, over here ,over there, league, Union, Japan or in France, did he , didn't he, will he come midseason or at the start......it is really getting very sad.

All this goings on, reminded my of the opening line to Emerson, Lake and Palmer's fantastic song, "Karn Evil 9", off the Brillant "Brain Salad Surgery" Album..........Greg Lake starts it off by singing...."Welcome back my Friends, to the show that never ends", and it sums up this Lote saga to a tee.

I thought it was worth a listen, as I haven't played the LP in years, and for anyone who haven't heard this trio, please go to the link below, Keith Emerson is probably the best Keyboard player ever, and he will rewire your brain.I started listening and my mind wandered off to a Sunny Sunday March Afternoon day at the Mary St enterance, trying to get into a packed Leichhardt Oval. I then thought what a great Wests Tigers Greeting and warm up song this would make....

"Welcome back, my friends
to the show that never ends.
We're so glad you could attend!
Come inside! Come inside!

There behind a glass
stands a real blade of grass
be careful as you pass.
Move along! Move along!

Come inside, the show's about to start
guaranteed to blow your head apart
Rest assured you'll get your money's worth
The greatest show in Heaven, Hell, or Earth
You've got to see the show, it's a dynamo.
You've got to see the show, it's the Wests Tigers

Right before your eyes,
We'll pull laughter from the skies
And he laughs until he cries,
then he dies, then he dies

Come inside, the show's about to start
guaranteed to blow your head apart
Rest assured you'll get your money's worth
The greatest show in Heaven, Hell, or Earth
You've got to see the show, it's a dynamo.
You've got to see the show, it's the Wests Tigers"

Find my spot, standing just above the tunnel, , as the Tigers team runs out, to the cue of Greg Lake singing for the first time.." It's the Wests Tigers".....Robbie, Moltz, Benji, Todd, Sauce, Heigho.....Right before your eyes, We'll pull laughter from the skies.....Lawro, Ayshford, Liam, Ellis......I hear rumblings around me..."Where's Lote, Where is Lote"......Lima,Bryce, Cayless,AJ,Galea......C'mon where is he :brick:

All the team is out for the first game of the season, TnT is even back early and warming up, and then the great Carl Palmer starts his great 5 minute drum solo , and I think, of course, it's SideShow Lote....the Man needs to make an enterance...bang bang bang,........bang, bang bang,....decide to get a beer.....bang, bang, bang....come back at above the tunnel....bang bang bang....decide I got time for a dash to the toilet....bang, bang, bang and the bells are now chiming.....the ground announcer screams out that God, nah kidding, Lote has arrived at the ground....bang bang,bang.....Lake is singing after the solo..."Come and see the show", the great,Keith Emerson is winding up the epic effort, and then to massive cheers, the Hair runs on at the Old Girl, to deafening screams and cheers.

The 2010 season has arrived and it is going to be owned by the Wests Tigers. :wahoo:

PS Here's the Link to our new Warm up song ....close your eyes, listen, and March won't be that far away...

What is it 104 days till Mackay...........

One word

:righton: **EPIC** :righton:

That would just be absolutely awesome.

:master: :master: :master: Well done Alad, well done. :master: :master: :master:

LOL nice, you should also get a job at WT as a motivational speaker

Thanks Guys and TigerGran….just trying to get a smile and ticking away the moments that make up a dull day.....and Alien, you just keep listening to your Metallica mate....just wished they had half the talent in Emerson & Palmer's little finger

As I been trying to catch up with my paperwork, I have listened to that song about 10 times today, and I have convinced myself that this is the only way Lote has to make his first appearance....at Leichhardt Oval against Manly,in Round 1, and ONLY at the end of the drumroll.......and after the Wests Tigers Cheergirls have rolled out the Black, White & Orange Carpet for him.

The Club should ham it up....the crowd would go off, especially if the ground announcer said, just before the drum Solo....." and now a little drumroll for Lote.." .....5 minutes later.....the club can just blame Liam & Bryce for the stunt

Yeah nice ….....but havent you heard..........Blockbuster games go to the WSFS.....but with only 3 now we are gunna get one the Dogs, Parra or Manly at Leichhardt....lets hope it's not Round 6 for Lortay's debut........

Yeah Geo, I have heard, but I don't agree with it…..the harder the match is to win...ie against Parra , Manly etc are the games we should be playing at our true home ground advantage grounds...it won't happen.

Even with this 4 x 4 x 4 split is still not good enough in my or most of our eyes...giving a game again to the SCG against Souths is pathetic...I thought they would have learnt from this year that it was that 9 #*@&%$&^% second field goal that stopped our team from making the finals.
It has the worst view.....might as well give this home ground game advantage to Souths 100%, and lets play it at Redfern Oval....I would prefer to go there

I hope I never have to hear that song again! Terrible

Agreed Alien, we'd all have to be on massive doses of acid to sit through this mess every game

I think you've been watching too much basketball Alad

The bulldogs have the right idea playing something like Metallica at their games. Rugby League is a tough physical sport so they should play something heavy to match it.

The roosters were the worst, playing their rooster rooster man garbage.

Looks like the drum roll solo, will just have to go on longer…hope he touches the ball for us more times he makes the papers

**Lote Tuqiri aiming to stay with Leicester Tigers for rest of season**Wednesday, November 04, 2009, Leicester Mercury

Lote Tuqiri wants to stay with Leicester Tigers until the end of the season.
The 30-year-old Australian winger is in line to make his Tigers debut against South Africa on Friday night after agreeing a short-term contract at Welford Road.
Tigers coach Richard Cockerill refused to be drawn on the length of Tuqiri's contract, but it is thought to expire before the end of the season.
Moreover, the Australian press have linked Tuqiri with a move to Aussie League side Wests Tigers next year.
However, **Tuqiri insisted: "I have had no contact with Wests Tigers. This is pure speculation in the Australian press.
"I haven't signed or done anything with Wests Tigers and I am certainly looking forward to being here until May."**Tuqiri sees the move to Tigers as a fresh start after being sacked by Australia in July, halfway through a lucrative four-year contract.
Neither the Australian Rugby Union nor Tuqiri's Super 14 team, the NSW Waratahs, commented on the reasons behind his expulsion.
However, Tuqiri started legal proceedings against the ban and said yesterday that the matter had been settled out of court.
"I'm not allowed to discuss the reasons for my suspension but it has been sorted out now."
Tuqiri has had a colourful record since switching to union from league club Brisbane in 2003.
It has been reported that he was fined $500 and given a two-match ban following an incident in Brisbane in 2005, and was sent home from a Wallabies training camp in 2007 for failing a fitness test.
In the same year, he was banned for two matches and fined $20,000 for failing to attend a team medical and registering an alcohol reading at a team breath test.
But he dismissed his "bad-boy" reputation by insisting: "I've been called it but I don't know about that.
"Whatever did happen is in the past now. I have a high profile back in Australia and probably could have been smarter, but you just move on.
"I certainly don't have any regrets, and these things happen for a reason, but I'm playing for Tigers now and want to help the club go well in the Guinness Premiership and Europe."
Tuqiri said Tigers' international reputation convinced him he was making the right move with other clubs also in the running for the player, who scored a try against England in the 2003 World Cup final, one of 30 in 67 Tests,
He said: "Tigers have a really good name internationally as a club and been successful with a good following.
"Leicester have had many achievements in the past and I spoke to a few people with connections here.
"I contacted (former coach) Bob Dwyer who gave me some facts on the place."
Tuqiri said the draw of playing in Europe was another factor in his decision to join.
"Playing in Europe is definitely something I'm looking forward to as I enjoy being on the bigger stage.
"I was at the Guinness Premiership game with Northampton Saints last weekend and it was good. There will be 20-odd thousand in the stadium every other week and I live for the big occasion.
"I walked around the stadium when the fans didn't know too much. I got a few funny looks, an 'is it or isn't it'. Some people who did recognise me wished me good luck."
Tigers have a double header this weekend, with a clash at Leeds in the LV Cup on Sunday after Friday's match with the Springboks.
"I put my hand up to play in one of the games to get my match fitness up.
"I've not played for a while and I've been trying to keep myself fit. I think I've done that but we'll see when I get on to the pitch.
"With my first game back being against the world champions, it's straight back into the deep end."

Yeah your right man….much prefer the boys to warm up to something heavy and intimidating rather than a 7 minute keyboard solo

if he does join wests-tigers then so be it.
maybe the club will sign another marquee player in the mean time and tell Lote we waited long enough, bad luck, stay over seas.

It's been a massive pre season for us all and the first NRL game is finally nearly apon us.
With Lote in the Air flying here, I thought it was apt to start the drum roll, as a Monday night game is going to feel like Carl Palmer's drum solo…...never going to come to an end
