As we all know FB is a major concern,I would like to see Kepoa given a crack in the absence of Laurie.The centres under massive pressure to perform,i think they will, or they are gone and Kei is avaiable mid year and looks good..I think Brooks is underrated,and if Doeihi doesn't perform Madden is in.This is the best forward pack i think WTs have had.I am very confident in tis side.

Lol Gareth Ellis would put it over the entire current pack by himself...
Your living in the past,this pack is bigger faster and harder then his era.

Harder? Have you seen them take a hard run? Tackled hard and drive? These forwards are not harder. They are almost mechanical in there approach due to their training. Becoming sift honestly.

It’s not hard to knee someone in the back of the head . Or squirrels grip them , as their falling to the ground ,or uppercut theM as they’re playing the ball . That’s just cheap , and frankly dirty. It is hard Though to put a shot on a 115kg running at full pelt . Or have a 115kg bohemoth absolutely destroy you . And you get up straight away. And before you say it , no, at no time ever prior to this generation , were players as big strong or fast , as they are now .
You may not like it , and it may not have as overt “toughness “ like brawls on the 40m line , but the game is way harder and way tougher . Teams from as early as 10 years ago , would get belted by today’s teams , let alone any era prior .

GREAT POST and spot on,most of the dirt has gone from the game,and what we have now are athletes.Being tough is not about eye gouging,standing on hands in the play the ball etc,.Cause they were tough,but theyare just as tough today,plus fitter ,bigger and heaps stronger.

Man I always tell my son , the toughest guy is rarely the guy who hits the hardest , or most . It’s the guy who take the most and not drop his bundle . So many dudes have that twisted I swear.

Tough isn't swinging a punch. It's walking away. I tell my two sons the same thing. My son can fight but I tell him he better never get into a fight.

The team that wins the GF this year will have a big mobile disciplined forward pack with some functioning grey matter. A classy full back. A DH who can read the game. A 7 who is robotic without being predictable. An elusive 6. And some quick outside backs.
Are we there yet?
No but we’re heading in the right direction imo.
If we have that forward pack I predict 6th or 7th.
If not, 8th or 9th.

I get the concept of what your saying , and what your getting at . But the reality is you have to stand your ground sometimes . And fight for what you think is right . Context is everything . You really have a lot more faith in the systems that are in place I guess.
I want him to learn , and through BJJ he is learning , about de-escalation, and self defence . As well as my daughter when she gets older.
The world is a horrid place , full of vile people who will see walking away as an act of weakness and then try to exploit that . And that’s how they are towards thier own kids . Imagine what those kids are learning .
I just feel it’s super unrealistic to teach my son and daughter that . He’s already been exposed to this . He walked away after a kid hit him , didn’t tell his teacher . The other kid lied and told the teacher it was the other way around.
My son got in trouble . It happened again , the bullying , my son hit him back this time , it checked the kid , and they’re now friends . The bullying has stopped .

Quite frankly a pass mark this year is better than 11th.
We have been smart with recruiting and have not paid overs on players and have cap room but I don't think we will have a team that can compete each season playing finals till 2022.

Spine is untested, unsure what we will actually get from Brooks, AD only moved from full back maybe needs a full season playing that position. Hooker options hard to replace Grant from last year.

Fullback Laurie the next year at this stage another fill in player for 2021 in this critical position.

Forward depth much better should have some go forward at least and challenge a few packs but can the backs take advantage of this when they do and convert chances?

Initial opening 5 games we need to Win 3 and then maintain our Win/Loss/Win/Loss ratio to be around finals as we rarely go on a winning streak.

Will be an interesting ride again supporting our WT.

Some things i agree with,the backline has to improve,has it has hardly changed,.Ilike Doeihi but sides wil target him and contary to popular opinion i think they will carve him up,he is an easy target.My hope is Simkin as a running 9 lives up to the wraps and adds spark needed around the ruck,and for the same reason play Madden.The forwards look great.

No way a pass Mark is better than 11th. It’s time. Front office is functioning well. Football operations are well resourced. Recruitment has been strategic. Time for coaching and playing group to be part of the solution and win games. No excuses. Top 8 or bust!

We have never Won it prior and seem to have bolstered our forward depth from last year? Still need more changes around spine but overall depth looks better and finished 11th.

You would be fun sitting next to at a game sounds like you would be cheering for the opposition.

Ithink manly and Titans will struggle.

Agree about Manly, but unless Tommy Turbz is fit for the majority of the season, they and the Warriors will be the best of the also-rans.

Yeah I'm excited the most by Joe too. Not really getting a lot of media attention but he can really transform our pack. He always came across as a leader to me.
