Western Sydney Wanderers

A disappointing 2-nil loss yesterday. The workload seemed to affect the team named. There was no spark at all.

Poppvic has been rotating the team all year. They finally play the 1st ACL game and he basically plays the same team twice in 4 days. I don't get it. The back 4 is terrible without Beauchamp.

Confirms to me the RBB is nothing more than being all about themselves and nothing else

What a surprise that after a while of you not adding anything to this thread that you decide to comment about the RBB yet again. Obvious troll.

Beauchamp "ran" the defence last year and as a result, the Wanderers had the best defensive record last season. I wonder where he has been all season and why Popovic has failed to use him.

Yeah I was surprised about that too. Poljak coming in and Haliti starting was the only change. I was hoping to see Beauchamp, Cole Heffernan and Appiah starting. The boys were definately lacking a spark.

Beauchamp has definately been unlucky this season. Spiranovic has come in and been our best player playing in the same position as Beauchamp played last year. It seems Popovic prefers to have a left footed central defender and that's why Spiranovic and Beauchamp haven't played together often if at all.

NTS has been a bit shakey at times this year too though he isn't alone in players not having as good of a season as the last. Bridge, Ono & Hersi have also struggled while Mooy, NTS and D'Apuzzo have been inconsistent. Injuries have struck the squad too. I think they've done well to stay in second place to be honest.

I know youd love to pretend it didnt happen, but it did.

What I comment on on this topic is my choice, Im commenting on a bunch of sooks that think theyre special….hardly trolling

The home side’s Red and Black Bloc active support partook in a silent protest over the fallout from the use of flairs in the midweek Asian Champions League, and the Wanderers failed to spark into life.

You're commenting on a group of active supporters who weren't active on the weekend. I don't know why it's a matter of concern to anyone bar them and the club.
We were the ones who missed out on enjoying the day as we usually do. Other fans are livid at the RBB. For what? There was no trouble on the weekend and the RBB watched the game exactly as the rest of the crowd does. It's the club and FFA who use the active support as a marketing tool and then want to detract everything from it, is probably where the issues are at and why almost every active support group is having issues with the FFA and the A-League admin. I for one was not in favour of a silent protest but it's the core who decide these things. Hopefully the issues will be resolved very quickly.
Also, I believe that the flares are not the reason for the silent protest. I am led to believe the decision to protest in a silent matter was due to the email which all members received from the club. It had plenty of false and vague information and had pretty much all members confused and in uproar. The RBB core is releasing a response and I along with many other RBB members and Wanderers fans are awaiting it.

Happy,
Yeah it looks like Adelaide are the team we should worry about most. The other 3 teams chasing the Roar all have packed schedules with the ACL and the rest of the teams either had poor starts to the season or are ridiculously inconsistent.

Haha…theres always a ''different story'' to what the media state

Its a concern to anybody that reads or listens to sports news....its amusing you getting your panties in a twist at anyone commenting on anything negative about WSW, you have a very very defensive attitude, guilt complex perhaps?

I'm more concerned about playing Adelaide in the GF than playing the Wanderers in the GF

I'd be happy as a pig in poo if they miss the semis 😛ray:

No I just don't like a club I love portrayed in an unfair manner. I'd do the same for the Tigers.

Adelaide defend poorly and you'll get plenty of chances to score though. They attack well but there are still plenty of holes at the back.
And I can't see them missing out on the 6\. The Heart are the ones to be a touch concerned about. The Dutch bloke in the middle looks class and they are playing much better now. Kewell to maybe even be on the plane to South Africa and I didn't think I would be saying that haha

Derby on Saturday, here are some interesting stats
Every time I have gone to the derby, we have won the game (3/3)
Every time I have not gone to the derby, we have not won the game (0/2 - 1 draw and 1 loss)

And, unfortunately, I will not be able to go on Saturday. Best case scenario is a draw. Sorry guys.

I'm glad you've brought this up now. I'll change my tip hahaha

I'm really looking forward to it. I'm undecided whether I'll pre-drink at Parramatta and catch one of the two "RBB trains" in with a fair few Wanderers fans or to head to the city earlier with mates who are keen to get ahead of the march and RBB trains. I think the pub a couple of the boys wants to drink at is near Central Station which actually isn't too far away from the pre-match pub of The Cove. There shouldn't be an issue but you just never know with the amount of fools who run around saying their fans of their club nowadays.

So are we cheering applauding & chanting this weekend, or sulking still?

Ohh Ink we weren't sulking last week. We simply watched the match like the vast majority of supporters do. Thankfully it's back to normal this week so people like yourself can stare and wonder or whatever you usually practice as apparently one silent stand mattered so much to people outside of it.

The official RBB response has been released. Maybe you should read a few of the incidents they highlighted before you comment further. I guarantee if the Tigers fans were experiencing the same sort of crap, you'd be up in arms about it.

Tigers fans dont have running pitched battles with opposing fans at interstate pubs

Tigers fans dont take flares to games

Tigers fans dont destroy stadioum property

Tigers fans dont thing theyre bigger than their team/club

So now you're labeling that every Wanderers fan believe and commits the above issues? That's not a generalisation at all is it? Just like all Bulldogs fans are troublemakers and all Souths fans are troubled with a lack of teeth hey? Don't let the truth get in the way of your views. You're talking about a small minority who are slowly getting banned.

My mother talks often with a lady who works within the FFA. She told my mum the other day that apparently those who caused the issues last Wednesday were already banned. So surprise surprise, the time they decide to have next to no security on the gate and allowed members outside the RBB into the active area, these idiots find their way in and there is trouble yet again.

Basic human right were taken away last Sunday. For 15 minutes police wouldn't let us leave our bay. We couldn't go buy food or drinks; we couldn't even to go to the toilet until one of the members already outside of the bay grabbed the area commanders attention and they eased up after that. Would you be okay with that to happen in the stands on Sunday in any instance?

Some members of the police have stated to us that they put their hand up for the double time and the view of the game they get and the paranoia around our games means they're all cleaning up so even more are putting their hands up. These are the ones who know we're just a bunch of fans who support our side in active manner. The ones who experience our game days quite often. Then we have the few who are clearly power-tripping who just march people out of the ground for various trivial reasons.

Like I said read the statement that was released rather then just what you see on the news. Educate yourself rather then letting your prejudice rule your opinion.
